OMG, I did a chair yoga class over zoom. I'm even out of shape for chair exercises and I've been on zoom quiet a bit!

I thought it was for old people. Seriously, you can't have old people sitting in chairs trying to bend over and put their hands on the ground.
I kept thinking my mom would fall out of the chair if she did that. I can do the chair pose but there was no way I could rise out of the chair. I have to sit into it and then rise up. Maybe my chair was too short but not happening.
Mom is scheduled for her vaccine on the 9th. She's been out of the house for a little while over the last 3 days. Amazing how much more with it she seems. Just wanted to say, there's my mom. We talked for quite a while.

I got an email to schedule an appointment for the vaccine. April 5th. That's a few days before I thought my age group is eligible but maybe they changed the rules.

I don't get it. I just signed up for that a couple of days ago and I'm not in any of the categories. I fully expect a retraction. I might have missed some change in the rules, I've been kind of busy lately. I'm going unless they tell me not to come.

You may have, i know Texas is opening it up to everyone 18+ on Monday. So you may have just missed some announcement by the governor. I'm glad i've already had both and my mom will have hers in the next week or so. She got hers through the County, so they'll just send her a text that says show up here at this time. No need to make an appt. Once it is open to all adults on Monday it is probably going to be very hard to find a appt for a bit until we get the rest of the vaccines President Biden ordered in mid May.

I was surprised how many slots were open. Of course the email popped up while I was looking at my email so that helped.
The kids have decided they are getting married in June and staring their family in August so they are sticking with no vaccines for them.

Pfizer 100% effective on kids 12 to 15 (which basically makes Pfizer effective for those 12 to 112).
I think they're supplying data for emergency approval today or tomorrow.....figure 2 weeks or so, hopefully, for approval.

That was weird. I'm sitting in my nail place. It's an Asian business. They always have their eye on the door, good customer service. But today I'm wondering if they have the extra concern that somebody is going to come in and shoot up the place because they are Asian. Find myself keeping an eye on the door too in the reflection of the plexiglass between us and wondering how many of you women in here have a gun in your purse? Sort of hoping somebody does. It's a change from my usual concern when I'm in there which is assessing the women employees for trafficking.

I got a second notice to schedule a vaccine appointment from a different provider. I just signed up. I thought the wait list would be longer especially since I'm in the general population.

They called to confirm for Monday. I'm expecting totally uneventful. Think my future S-I-L is caving and will get it and my daughter will follow. They want to get in that honeymoon.

Seems like it just depends on the person. I had nothing but a sore arm. Another friend of mine who got the Pfizer one the other day had a headache the next day.

A couple of my friends got the headache after the second shot. I'm prone to headaches. We'll see, good excuse to sit on the couch.
Had another garden lead quit today because she doesn't want to have to wear a mask when she comes on campus yet she won't get the vaccine. And she has to frequently go check up on her 82 year old mother. None of that made any sense to me.

Some of the places here are allowing you to go to their site and make an appointment rather then wait to be contacted. Don't think that's because they have an over abundance of vaccines.
I was reading where the development of this vaccine has push medicine forward and we could see better cancer treatments, regenerate muscle in hearts. Stuff I don't understand and I'm sure is going to generate a lot of controversy when you start messing with human cells. No new discoveries come without mistakes.
