Seemed to be a great show from the footage I saw. Can't imagine any bad reviews coming out of this.

No chance and nothing to worry. Everyone seemed to be in good spirits.

As much as I loved every post-Slash show I saw, and I did appreciate being able to see my favorite band in smaller venues, it is awesome to see Guns n Fuckin Roses play a show for a massive stadium crowd. They're back, baby, and kickin ass on a big scale! The next few days can't pass fast enough--last time I saw GnR in DC was the GnR/Metallica/Faith No More. It's great to see the band reclaim the throne (although as far as I'm concerned, any version of GnR has always been the best band out there)

Yes to everything you just said.  This is THE tour.  In my opinion it is the biggest tour in the history of the band, the big one, the one nobody thought would ever happen.  To see them come out on fire and play football stadiums like this, it's unreal.  To simply see a band do their first solo headlining stadium tour in the United States over 30 years into their career is nuts.  This is not an 80's, 90's or 2000's band. They are truly timeless.

I was there tonight. The venue is huge, has a lot of levels, and yeah it was packed! Early on, I was trying to figure out how the speaker cabinets on the back line were lit, because they seemed very prominent. A few songs later I realized that the Slash emblems were actually LEDs. Then I realized that the face of the speaker cabinets were entirely LEDs. I doubt that they were even real speaker cabinets. It make for a fantastic effect though. The whole stage setup is impressive. It's like the YUI stage evolved.

I've been to a few GNR shows and have obsessively watched videos of all live eras. I've never seen Axl have such a good time. I started watching him during solos. On one side of the stage, he leaned backwards on the railing and mimed like he was falling off. He pointed at someone in the crowd and said, "smile!" and shot them a smile of his own. At another point he was jokingly shuffling along beside Duff as if to get in his way. As Slash was going off on an outro of one song (maybe Rocket Queen...), Axl was watching him and just beaming with pride.

Axl talked a lot to the crowd, but I had trouble making out what he was saying. I'll have to check out the videos.

Guys, this tour is off to an unbelievable start!

https://youtu.be/KHpoN45RF-8 SCOM. Look at the look on Axl's face watching Slash's outro. Have you ever seen Axl happier?

http://www.detroitnews.com/story/entertainment/music/2016/06/24/review-guns-n-roses-ablaze-at-ford-field-tour-kickoff/86305106/ I want to smack this critic. Does he not know what sarcasm is? Axl was joking when he was talking about the food and during kohd!
