a question for the people in Vegas! Is there a place were u can buy that Appetite For Democracy t-shirt over there? the one the staffmembers wear? I have a friend who is traveling in Vegas now.. so i hoped he could pick up one for me

What?  How lame - I wanted one too - seems like they are missing out on profits and making fans happy.  Hopefully they will have them once the shows start.  I missed out on a European t-shirt this summer - by the time I went to see them they didn't have my size in the only female style shirt they even had.  Total fail in the merch dept if you ask me.

I'm sure closer/during the shows there will be plenty of merch available. Just not quite yet.

1 - I bought a VIP ticket, which will be at Will Call when I go, but for the 10th I bought a balcony ticket ... will that one be shipped or will call also?

2 - Way off topic .... but has anyone ever been to the Pink Taco in the Hard Rock ? I love Mexican food

They say will call for VIP.  I think what they mean though is that someone who works for Ground Control will have an area set up to meet you guys, and that will most likely be somewhere in the vicinity of the box office/will call area.  You're doing the meet and greet?  I'd imagine the balcony ticket would be mailed.  What's cool is that it doesn't really matter since it's an actual seat.  You could show up 5 miutes before the show and be fine, whereas if you had to pick up a general admission ticket you would have to show up early (if you wanted to be in front anyways).

As for the pink taco, or we talking metaphorically or literally?  lol.  I have been there and it is good!  And it's open real late even after the concert.  Sweet!

I bought GA tickets and they are will call only. I wonder if all tickets sold by gnr.com are will call only unless you buy them from ticketmaster then they mail it to you

Yea... I'm doing the meet n greet and will be in row C of the reserved floor seating so I'm definitely excited for that. I wonder how the meet n greet and VIP party room will work !!

We're two behind you in E.  In Atlantic City the after-show party passes were handed out to the VIP line just prior to (early) entry.

Pink Taco, while good, still very over priced and mediocre tacos passed off as "Authentic".....There's HUNDREDS of places here to get the good stuff. Look for the dirtiest hole in the wall place, it'll be cheap, but GREAT!. Try Tacos El Compita #3. Haha. I love that place.

I'll volunteer myself as a source. I've been to Vegas a TON since 2004 including having been there twice since last September and I'll be there again in the first week of November for GN'R.

I live exactly 5 miles down the road from the Hard Rock. If anyone has any questions at all, don't hesitate to message me! (We'll try to keep that stuff out of this thread.)

For a start though. There's plenty of cool/free things that are must sees for the first timer. The Fountains at Bellagio is probably the coolest on the strip. Also, Freemont Street is a MUST SEE. Go at night, on an off show day. The canopy provides amazing light shows, everything's closer together, and the people watching alone is worth the trip. I always tell my visitors from out of town to forget the Strip, and go to Freemont. It's much cheaper, and IMO, much more fun. Go to the Strip to see it, then go party on Freemont. IMO, once you've seen one Casino, you've seen them all. There are many great shows to check out on the Strip though, just don't even think about going to see Chris Angel. You'll also he "Half Price Show Ticket places all around, check them out, you can get great deals. As far as food goes, I'm not one to ask in that regard. There's many places around town that I LOVE, but I realize most people won't be leaving the Tourist areas to go eat. Some notable places though are The Hash House A Go Go inside Imperial Palace, and the HEart Attack Grill on Freemont. Haven't had a better burger or shake yet. As far as travel goes....there is the Monorail that runs from MGM all the way up to the Sahara, but that won't get you to the Hard Rock. There used to be a free shuttle from The Harley Davidson Cafe to the Hard Rock, but I'm not even sure if it's there anymore. Most Hotels have their own shuttles to and from the Airport, but if you cab it, just make sure the driver doesn't take you on a freeway. I don't care what he says, or even if it appears you're headed in the right direction, if you get on a freeway, he's ripping you off. For the drinkers out there, don't waste your money on drinks inside the casinos. Whenever I go to the Hard Rock, I go across the steet and get a 6 or 12 pack, then go over. You won't be able to get it in the Joint, but they don't care if you bring it in the Casino. Even better if you have a room there, then you can just stow it in the sink with ice. All in all, it is Vegas, and most things are over priced, but that's the same with any tourist destination. Just remember: FREEMONT STREET!
