Roseland seats about 3200 (+ a couple hundred more if they open up the balcony).

Hammerstein seats about 3900, assuming they open up all the balconies.

Floor at Roseland might be a tiny bit bigger...but the stage is USUALLY lower to the ground, too (we'll see what GnR's set up is).

I'd say it's even more intimate than Hammerstein, but the facilities aren't as nice.

Still...who the fuck cares.  It's a friday night....I think we're going to DRIVE down to the city (so I'm not worrying about catching the last train back to CT)....I have Friday OFF from work (which was scheduled before this came up).  Let 'em come on at 12:30 and play til fucking dawn.

And by tough, you mean busy and crawling with people and traffic.

Not tough, as in the way it used to be, back in the 80's.

I mean, hell, Ed Sullivan is right across from it (where Letterman tapes his shows....but not on Friday!)

I'm considering getting a hotel room.  That why I don't have to worry about getting home late, catching a train or bus back to Jersey, or driving drunk and tired!  Hotwire has rooms just over 100 in midtown.
