I love Lewis Carroll, Tim Burton and Johnny Depp, I can't be disapointed.
and the trailer looks very good and funny.

U won't find a bigger Johnny Depp fan than I am He has been my favorite actor since 21 Jumpstreet back in the 80's and even then I knew he'd turn into something amazing........ but This kind of really goes over the line to territory I thought he'd never cross.

I love his off beat, weird almost B movie like shit.

Now he is getting too mainstream

I doubt I will see this

I see no problem with Depp doing this kind of film. Charlie and The Chocolate factory was a kids story with a gothic edge to it. Alice in Wonderland is a story that is fantasy for kids, but creative nonsense for adults.

Depp has played two challenging characters in both movies.

I agree with you, I find it fasinating that he mostly chooses what I call the more creative films along with the most challenging character.  That is really what I would call excellent acting, and it takes great acting skill to pull off such roles.

it looks fun, im a big fan of Alice in Wonderland. i also sometimes get tired of the Burton/Deep freaky attitude, it starts to look like they are trying to hard.  but well this one looks cool.  the guy from Little Britain is there also portaying the twins.

I think this movie looks awesome.  The only Burton/Depp collaboration I haven't liked is Corpse Bride.  This looks like it'll be similar to Charlie & The Chocolate Factory which was awesome.  And even if the movie itself isn't that good, Tim Burton is one of those directors who is always fascinating just for the art direction even when he isn't firing on all cylinders (with the exception of Planet Of The Apes, which had too much interference from the studio).

3D movies dont even work.

I dont see the need for them. Ive always thought it was a very gimmicky thing. i have no issue with a film being in high quality on a screen. It is what it is.

Supposedly this will all change with the release of Avatar in December.  James Cameron has spent years developing the technology for Avatar (which is being used in Alice In Wonderland, too), in order to make 3D movies a genuine experience as opposed to a cheap gimmick.
I'll reserve my judgment on that until I actually see Avatar, but everyone who's been allowed glimpses of it seem to think it's amazing.

so you're implying that this is only a rehash of the Chocolate Factory
