The moral to the story is that we need to secure our own border and stop giving illegals a free pass in this country.

Yeah, because Americans themselves never rape kids  peace

I love you guys who try to make out the USA as such a bad country. So why do so many people want to come here???

We just need to get a handle on those who try to come here illegally.

*fact- the USA gives more money in humanitarian aid throughout the world than any other country*

It's not just the US, it's every 'prosperous' country.

Guess centuries of explotation is coming back to bite 'us'. Coupled with the elites desire to create a homogenous, borderless world of total economic efficiency.

Nice, the way you didn't mention the child porn FACT....huge elephant, not?  peace

It is the most evil thing in the world, you don't  think it is even worth mentioning.... ok....your opinion I guess...which is the reason why child porn in the USA is growing and growing and growing, eventhough it has the highest rates already....but who cares, right?

There are much worse things happening on this planet than kids being raped everyday in the USA for child porn purposes....like women in Far-away-istan not being able to drive a car....yeah...so much more important to fight for...really, why would I care about the evil things happening in my street when I can worry about the lesser important stuff happening 99,999,999,999,999 miles away ok

The reason you got Mexicans coming to your country is money....nothing more. What is so surprising about that? If you were a Mexican living at the border of USA, I am sure you wouldn't want to make more money by crossing the border. No, you would stay in your bed all day long catching flies.

Your ancestors came to this land centuries ago and took away violently what was from someone else...that was no problem, the holocaust of native Americans and in Aussie, aboriginals....guess what....something's coming home to roost, so don't be hypocritical, karma is working  peace

1st, Atilla, I don't believe in "karma."

2nd, Senator Blutarsky,

*f a c t* The United States is n o t the leading giver of humanitarian aid as a percentage of its gross domestic product.

Bragging about how generous the United States is when it comes to humanitarian aid is a joke.  If a millionaire gives a thousand dollars to charity, it's crap compared to a McDonald's worker who contributes a hundred dollars to charity.  It's even more disgusting considering the fact the McDonald's worker is not likely itemizing and benefitting from their giving come tax time.

Here is a r e a l i t y check for the good Senator Blutarsky:  The top nations of the world in giving humanitarian aid as a % of their gross domestic product are as follows:

Sweden
Denmark
Norway
Finland
Ireland
Switzerland
Holland
Luxembourg
S. Korea
Canada
Belgium
United Kingdom
Saudi Arabia
Australia................
and then that lovable country who spends more on military spending than the next 46 countries combined!  The good ol' U.S. of A.   love  love  love

Just imagine what we could have done with $518.5 billion dollars (the cost of the Iraq War since 2003).  Tragedy.

Oh well, we're not all that bad...we still give more than Germany, United Arab Emirates, New Zealand, and Japan.  yes

Here's some edumacation for Senator Blutarsky:  http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/p/petition-illegals.htm

One could start by deploying some of the offshore troops, or bring the National Guard back from Iraq so they can guard the nation.

The question isn't how much it will cost and who will pay for it.

It's: How much is the current situation costing, and who's paying for it?

This, of course, is not in the interest of the government, who gets their cheap labor and racial stirrings to keep the public distracted from other pressing issues.

One of the best posts you have made.  ok

The point of me posting this was to show that here is a guy who is here ILLEGALLY who is taking advantage of the system we have going around committing henious crimes...that is all...now you want to defend him by showing me that a small percentage actually dont get free health insurance....so that makes it OK??

Another classic strawman. How am I defending him?

because you defending him by saying "not all" of these people are getting free healthcare AND "look at his age, he didnt get free schooling here" so i guess that makes it ok then right?

I'm not defending him or any other illegal immigrant, I'm pointing out yet again that your 'facts' are incorrect, and that diminishes any point you may have.

Agreed.  Horrible thread really.

But I want to respond to the issue raised about US charity in terms of totals vs. percentages.  See, I know the US is way down the chart in the percentage given, but to me the significantly more important stat is the total amount given.  I mean that has the real impact, right?  GNP is basicall the dollar value of goods and services (goods) produced in any given year at market price (current price).   I'm not sure if you can use that to compare the generosity of a nation.  I'm not an economist and admit that I don't know how the definition of GNP relates to generosity.

I'm not so sure why so many of you actually enjoy painting the US is as poor a light as possible.  Are most people in this secion from outside the US?

Of course that's correct in terms of usefulness, but the stats are generally quoted in response to claims that the US 'bails out the whole world' or is the most generous. I think it's lame to bash the USA's generosity just for the sake of USA bashing in general, but the figures do need to be pointed out to correct common misperception.

Perfect Criminal,

I love my country.  I am an American and damn proud of what my country should be all about.  I get a bit pissed off when people try to fudge the numbers, that's all.  My analogy about the ability to give and how much wealth a nation possesses still holds.

The U.S. spends more on its military than countries number 2 through 47 c o m b i n e d!!!  We are a good nation with great ideals...but we can't call ourselves the "most generous" nation on the planet.  To be the "most generous" nation on the planet, by definition, you'd have to give a higher % of what you have to give.  Jarmo, and his Scandinavian friends can claim that title.

Perfect Criminal, you raise some good points...that I can't answer!  I got one grade in college lower than a B...microeconomics.
A big fat D.   Embarrassed  Economics aint my bag, but I think it's safe to assume the United States is the richest country on earth.  Does that mean we are obligated to be the most charitable?  Hell no.  I just wanted to clarify, that's all.   peace

Now let's get back to what this thread is really about.  The very serious problem of 10 year old girls raping illegal aliens.  It aint right, it aint American, and I blame the liberals!   rant

Charity, the way it is generally given, actually does more harm than good for a country. In many cases the regime takes it for themselves, not only depriving their starving population of food, but also bankrupting farmers when they sell it off at rock bottom prices. You also create dependence. If people get used to getting food for free, why work? It creates a very unhealthy economy, forcing us to throw more and more fuel to the fire, ad infinitum.

Then there is the sinister but real situation of western interests providing weapons and capital in exchange for drugs, diamonds, oil and other resources etc. This is the number one reason dictators are able to stay in power for so long.

In my opinion charity has become our national get out of guilt card and not much else.

It may be important to you, but the agreed measurement of foreign aid is in percentage of GNP (now GNI), not raw dollars.
