Come on! this is the same thing people do with Matt. Just cause someone comes off as a dick doesn't take away their abilities. I know everyone hates on Lars, but he's done some amazing work. I haven't been a huge Metallica fan since I was a kid but Listen to the drums on the string of RTL, MOP, & AJFA. It's superb work no matter how much Lars talks and talks and talks or how many times he brings a lawsuit against a website. I always did think tho that The Drum tracks on the black album aren't good. Way too much cymbals on most every song. And the obvious st anger nightmare.

Chinese Democracy will destroy any album by Metallica. Im not sayin that as a fanboy either but Hetfield cant hold Axl's balls.

Nobody in Metallica can hold a candle to their GN'R equivalent.

I am biased because I am a huge fan, but even if I wasn't, there's no denying Lars talent on the kit. He may have lost some of his speed over the years, but he still has a great groove and is still pretty damn good playing live.

Check out his playing on their Live Shit box set from their Seattle 1989 gig, as there's some really great drumming there.
