The Wonder Years.? ?Grin? Loved that show!
Nice.  I've been on a Wonder Years kick lately.  Taping all the re-runs on ION television at 10 and 10:30 weekdays.  Great show!

I hate to sound old, but they just don't make TV shows like they used to.  The only sitcom I watch these days is "The Office".  "Family Guy" and "South Park" are good shows.  Dramas are better these days, but they just can't write sitcoms like they used to.  And unfortunately reality TV (which I have been sucked into) rules the world at the present.

The Wonder Years.   Grin  Loved that show!

Yeah, same here, along with "Knight Rider", "Saved by the Bell", "Murder, She Wrote" and sometimes "Charles in Charge".

There used to be a show about a girl whose father was an alien (talked to her from where-ever through a crystal contraption) and who had the power to stop time and stuff. Forgot the name. headscratch

Damn, Genesis, I wish I could help you on that one but I just can't remember that one.

Yes Sexkitten, if I wasn't playing or watching sports, I was watching tv.  Nerd to the max...some things never change.  Smiley

I keep remembering shows that I watched every week:
Head of the Class
Whiz Kids
WKRP in Cincinnati re-runs
Electric Company on PBS only for the intro music and minute-long Spiderman segment that occasionally aired at the end of the show.
When I mentioned Just the Ten of Us I forgot to mention how hot the daughters were...and before anybody asks, yes, Nicole Eggert was way hotter than Alyssa Milano.
Oh yeah, one more, a short-lived show called Spencer that starred Chad Lowe if I'm not mistaken.

My childhood/adolescence is starting to look quite sad in retrospect!   Cry

Hilarious, that's my only recollection of that show too.  That Spiderman was great, whenever he shot his web at someone the camera would just cut to the target who was suddenly covered under a soccer goal net.

I'm glad somebody else remembered that too.  Ha.  Hilarious stuff.   Smiley

P.S. to Faldor, yup, you're absolutely right, The Office and Family Guy are excellent.  The Simpsons is still good but no longer great.

P.S. 2, It probably would have been easier for me to list the '80's shows I did not watch.   Grin

P.S. 3, I forgot to mention 227 and Amen...oh Jesus I think I need counseling!!!  My childhood was spent sitting in front of tv's!  I think I must have looked like Axl in the Welcome to the Jungle video!!!!!!!!!!  (except I had thick, black horn-rimmed glasses.   hihi)

Nicole Eggert was hot, but my vote goes to Alyssa.  To each his own though.  And by the way, BOTH are probably still hot.  I know Alyssa is, I imagine Nicole is too.  She was still hot when she was on Baywatch.  Haven't seen any of her since then.

Oh god no Faldor!!!  Eggert got hit hard by Father Time.  Oh man, I saw her on a made for tv movie and she looked horrendous.  I never want to see her again.  If you want to see her look really good, check out a terrible movie called Blown Away...not the one with Tommie Lee Jones.   Wink

Now, before I forget, yes!, Sledge Hammer and Moonlighting were great shows.  I never got into Fall Guy or Airwolf though.  But.....

I used to have nightmares about a show called Cliffhanger and I remember doing a search for it, but could never find it, so I assumed I dreamt it up.  ibelieveinaxl, thank you!  can you give me any more info on the show?  It had to be early '80's but holy crap, I can't believe you remembered that!   beer

For most of the 80s I did not have a TV. The decade passed  me  by, as I  was in school. I guess that explains my lack of social  skills.  rofl

I didn't grow up with my dad in the house...my fatherhood lessons all came from Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable, Dr. Jason Seaver, Mr. Steven Keaton, Tony Macelli, etc.  To be honest I think I was better off!  Who do the kids have to look up to nowadays?  That's sad.  Cry

Lots of BAD shows in the 80s too:

Small Wonder
Alf

The alien one with the crystal thing, i can TOTALLY picture it in my head.  but i don't remember the name....let me do a quick search....

OUT OF THIS WORLD. The girls name was Evie and she could pause time by putting her fingers together. Her father was an alien and she could talk to him through a crystal. If she stopped time and then touched someone that person would be able to move around like she could while the rest of the world was still.

Evie was totally hot.  I always wanted her power.
