So Matt has 2 CD's coming out July 3rd?

CIRCUS DIABLO ? the new project featuring THE CULT guitarist Billy Duffy, THE ALMIGHTY frontman Ricky Warwick (guitar), ex-THE CULT touring bassist/current CAMP FREDDY guitarist Billy Morrison (vocals), and former FUEL/current RIDERS ON THE STORM frontman Brett Scallions (bass) ? has posted the first single, "Loaded", from its upcoming self-titled debut album on the band's MySpace page.

CIRCUS DIABLO recently inked a deal with KOCH Entertainment. Matt Sorum (VELVET REVOLVER, ex-GUNS N' ROSES) played drums on the group's self-titled debut album (cover), which is scheduled for release on July 3.

CIRCUS DIABLO is confirmed for all 24 Ozzfest shows this summer. Charles Ruggiero of SLUNT will take up the drum stool for the upcoming tour.

"CIRCUS DIABLO just sort of evolved," Morrison recently explained to Strutter magazine about how the band came together. "Before the current lineup of THE CULT went back out touring, Billy would come over and we'd just write songs together. We both knew Ricky from back in the day, so we called him up and invited him to join us. It was an organic thing. It wasn't done to put a band together at all. We wrote a bunch of songs and about 5 or 6 weeks later, we stepped back and went, 'Wow, what should we do with this?'"

While recording at Matt Sorum's Drac Studios last year, CIRCUS DIABLO decided to cover an ADAM AND THE ANTS track, "Ants Invasion". A full-length MP3 of the song, which is expected to appear on the upcoming CD, can be downloaded at this location.

One of my all time favourite AATA tracks, but unimaginable without Adam's vocals and Marco's screeching guitar.? ?no

Billy Morrison (former Cult touring bassist circa '01) fronts the band.  Billy Duffy (present Cult and founder member with Ian Astbury) plays lead guitar.

The original is great but I think Diablo definitely did it justice.

Smart money says that maybe the 2nd single after "Loaded".
