For about 5 years i misheard some of my favourite manson lyrics;
on song called coma white, I kept hearing
"Just bleeding like a polaroid,
lost on her dose"
instead of "lost all her dolls", which it originally is.
Song named Mechanical Animals i heard as
"You were my mechanical bride
a xeno-barbidoll,
a manic queen of depression"
while correct lyrics are
"You were my mechanical bride
You were phenobarbidoll
A manniqueen of depression"
(and yes i realize those are not fun in any way;)
Also, when i was around 10 or so i thought Axl sings "I'll go to Africa" instead of "i'm a cold heartbreaker"on YCBM. And later on on the same song; "... an another reason to cry" sounded to me like "and americans cry"
..Which ofc made sense. With Axl going to Africa and all. I had the YCBM lyrics all figured out as you can see.
I think all of my misheard versions are by far better than the originals, including the Africa-thing
Slightly offtopic but hey;
My 2nd or 3rd gnr related product was a copied casette that consisted of like 50% of AFD and lacked any song titles. So i had to try to figure them out. I actually happened to find the casette some time ago, was good for laughs
My version of my michelle was named "well well well", my Anything goes was "my way you way" and so on. I actually had managed to get rocket queen right, which i am ofc very proud of.
