Screw Apple and their corporate whorishness squeezing every last drop of liquid money from our souls. FUCK em!

FUCK the iPod, FUCK the iPhone, FUCK Macs (I hate them!), FUCK Apple in general! I'm not buying one! I'll buy a new phone, cuz I need one, but it most CERTAINLY will NOT be this piece of corporate SHIT!!

Uuuuuuuuuugh!! *storms off to go throw darts at a picture of an iPod*

I don't understand this post......are you saying you are pro Apple or anti??

Perhaps on the balance a little more anti. Who knows.

In all seriousness though. They screwed with me too. I sent an ipod off for repair and they sent it back (after messing me around with delivery and 'accidentally' giving it to a random on my street) only for it to be completely untouched with a note saying It is your fault.

Over-rated they are iPods

I wonder what the company who owns the iPhone name feel about this.

Did apple buy the name?

(It's an internet phone)

They feel like this

FUCK Macs (I hate them!),

I don't get it, they're a company that makes products that some people like and think are cool, what are they supposed to do, they're a business....no one's forcing you to buy any of their products, you can just go right on supporting Bill G/Microsoft and their total lack of  corporate whorishness to make you feel better.

Personally I think CDs are the way forward...

The music industry disagrees... http://www.houstonpress.com/Issues/2007-01-04/news/feature.html

CDs are soon to be a thing of the past.. sadly in my opinion, but whatever.

Screw Apple and their corporate whorishness

I'm so sick of Apple having to put "i" in front of all their products now. It's fucking annoying.

To me, what's annoying is how *other* companies have put an "i" in front of their products in order to mimic Apple's success and product lines.  Take Cisco, for example, now suing Apple over rights to the iphone name...

cisco has released its phone way before apple new thing.
cisco is a WAY bigger company than apple, and i dont think they did that to mimic apple's success
cisco iPhone was named that way because it's an IP phone ... IPPHONE ... IPhone ....

apple is going to pay for the name / or change it.

i'm sorry. the object looks sleek.
but apple is the MTV of electronic products.

the I phone was first released in the mid 90's by some compay that Cisco later purchased... around 2000 or something... the patent o the name goes back to March 20 1996. Cisco was happy to discuss the chance of selling the name to apple but apple went on and announced it as the Iphone before anything was resolved with the name. hence why cisco is sueing.

I do agree tough other companies putting i in the font of th name makes consumers that are not tech savy think they are buying something that is apple related

I didn't know that name patent goes back to 1996.   After the imacs hit in '98 (available for consumer purchase), a few "i" named products came out, but it really seemed to become magnified once the ipod hit...thanks for the info.    beer

 hihi. So fucking funny

Anyways..

I don't feel like Apple is the MTV of electronics at all. Just because alot of people like them doesn't mean they lack quality. You may not like them, but Apple's computers and iPods consistently get great technology reviews and are usually considered industry standards in terms of design and longevity. OSX, while some people may not like it's "simpleness" is also a great product and is being emulated almost exactly by Microsoft and it's Windows Vista... if the product is so bad then why would the competition want to copy it?

Apple isn't perfect.. but hating it because they are "corporate whores" and are popular is incredibly stupid.

Apple makes "cool" products for a niche market, they'll always be a minor player in the PC market - appealing on one hand to artists/designers/film editors as well as people who want something different for the "cool". It just happens that the niche they found with iPods/iTunes turned out to be a really big niche, but I don't see how that makes them corporate whores....the company is built on innovative, more expensive than average products appealing to smaller consumer bases, not mass marketing low priced crap to everyone. The iPhone won't dominate the cell phone market by any means, but probably those people who own them will love them.

We have a PC and a Mac at home, I mainly use the PC more these days out of necessity but it still feels unnatural to me (kind of like playing a guitar or tennis or something with the wrong hand), I can work out how to do most things but it isn't elegantly simple like OSX. And I barely use any microsoft software beyond XP and Excel, don't have an iPod but use iTunes because WMP is awful for organizing music, email with Thunderbird, browse with Firefox.

So there, bottom line is Apple = cool and not corporate whores  Tongue
