My choices

Buckcherry
The Wildhearts
Roadstar
Towers of London
Coheed and Cambria
Alice in Chains

Or co headlining tour of Guns and AC/DC...that would be f'ing awesome!

Maybe not openers, but if they're gonna do festivals and co-headline any tours, they should go with Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, Alice In Chains..

For Australia, the best band we have down here is Jet, they give a good show.. They'd fit in well with GN'R.

Fuck Wolfmother, bunch of homo poseurs.

guys evanescence and RHCP are both WAY bigger than GNR right now...as much as I hate to say it....RHCP sold out continental airlines arena 2 nights in a row in a matter of minutes...the GNR show was far from sold out there...

TRUE

gnr is far behind ...

we re not back in the 90' ... it's 2007... young poeple don't even know GNR.

Except that even GN'R's unpromoted, bastard of a Greatest Hits itself outsells current offerings from Evanescence.

Billy Talent would be an awesome opening band. For those of you who don't know who they are, they're a Canadian band who are about to explode. They're just starting thier first arena tour.  They have 2 cd's out and all of the songs are really good.

Anyone else think a "Metallica-Guns N' Roses: 15 Years Later" tour would sell well?

I think that would be Huge. Still 2 of the biggest bands ever.

A band like The Screaming Jets would be an awesome support. They opened for VR in Aus. They are a deadset true Rock Band.

I think Billy Talent would be great as well, but their tickets sold faster at the Air Canada Center than GNR's did, so I don't think they'd be opening up for them up here at least.

Agreed on RHCP's......GNR can be that big again someday.  As for Evanescene, GNR still draws a MUCH larger crowd.  Heck, in Minneapolis, Evanesence played the venue across the street, 1st Ave, from the venue that GNR played, Target Center.  1st ave holds a few thousand tops, many of you know it from the Purple Rain days...Smiley

I like Pepper and Jet. Do you think Modest Yahoo (Probably not how it is spelled) would work with Axl? Probably not, too many personal conflicts.

I think the Foo Fighters would be pretty kick ass.  But I read somewhere that Axl doesn't like Dave Grohl.  Probably untrue.  I can't see why Axl would dislike him. peace

Dave called him out at the '93 MTV Video Awards at the end of a Nirvana performance.  He kept yelling into the mike, "Axl!..... Axl!......where's Axl??  Its funny now so maybe all has been forgiven.  But Grohl did just console the lead singer of the EODM (Hughes) that it was a badge of honor to be hurt by Axl.  (Or something like that.)

kurt cobain and nirvana like from the mtv shit maybe Huh he's also a friend of the POSM but naah Foo Fighters are too big, i'd say 1 or 2 of these avenged sevenfold, buckcherry, BFMV, baz, and lots of more, the one i would like the most would prolly be hardcore superstar or backyard babies but see a swedish band as an opening act to gn'r is not a big risk even though they have been opening acts for among others AC/DC and mot?rhead and other really big bands
