Let's keep all setlist wishes oin one thread.

No need to start a new one for the opening song, closing song, cover or number of songs in the set that start with the letter W.

i hope they`ll play many new songs (and i`m sure they will....)

but here are the old songs i wouldn`t mind to hear...

estranged
november rain
civil war
don`t cry

brownstone
paradise city

jungle
live and let die
kohd
dead horse
the garden

and well... everything that came out after '98 except silkworms peace

100 % ★Chinese Democracy★ (era) tracks . That's My ideal setlist.
Starting with ♫no it doesn't matter♩

26 ~32 songs would be more than enough for a full concert. peace

If necessary, a few old songs for encores wouldn't hurt.
In this case, I'd love to hear a medoley of my world ~the garden ~ estranged~ twat but I shouldn't ask too much.

ppbebe,
I'm pretty sure CD isn't going to have 26-32 tracks.  Hasn't Axl said that there are going to be 13 tracks or something?
He's not going to play tracks that are planned for a future album.

I'm guessing we'll see a set heavily favoring new material with a couple of the die hard classics tossed in. If Axl really wants to redefine GnR he needs to let go of the old stuff, save for the home run tunes like Jungle.

Actually, after they open with Jungle I could care less if they do any more old material. They need to show us why we should care about the new GnR by blowing the roof off with new material.

I?m sorry, I don?t have any Jung or Symbolism textbooks laying around right now; could you explain exactly how farting into a microphone wold let the world know THAT? nervous

Anyway, I?d like them to play several songs off CD, but they HAVE to keep some sort of balance. They can?t open with 7 CD songs, most people would go: ?Hey, we got the wrong band or what?? Unless the album has a certain recurring ??theme?? and the songs are too deeply interwoven to be played apart, I guess they shoud play one or two classics between CD songs.

Ok, ?3 or 4 CD in a row would be really cool drool, but only after the audience is already pumped up with the old songs.

OK, open with the whole fucking CD album and close with a Mariah Carey medley, JUST FUCKING PLAY ALREADY!!

Mate, I didn't say a CD has 26 ~ tracks. I said Chinese Democracy era tracks.
GNR would play songs like dont cry in the AFD era.
And what for do you think they're working on the 32 tracks now?

Well, Axl did say (albeit a long time ago) that he was planning on releasing albums while they were on tour, and allowing fans to follow the GN'R progression into a new sound.  If that's what he's still planning on doing, then we won't hear anything not on CD or earlier.  I don't think Axl is going to want to spoil all his new songs in the first tour if he's planning on touring for a couple years.

Does any one of you really care what the other wants to hear at a concert, I don't. I think Jarmo should do a poll to find out the setlist that represents everyone. He should list EVERY Gnr song and people could vote and then pick the top 20 after a week or so.

I read on a message board that the amazing outro of TWAT really helps make the song something special.  Does anyone else think that this song could be used as a new closer for the tour?  If not for Paradise City, then at least before the final encore.

Maybe it's just me, but I can just picture the band extending the outro and really going crazy with the song on stage.  It's a great sing along too.

Estranged
Get in the ring
TWAT
Nighrain
Oh My God
Shadow of your love

Paradise City
General
Rocket Queen
The Garden

Dont Cry
Aint it Fun

I agree on any new song !!!!

And I pretty much agree with you on "Aint it fun"... I would love to hear that one live.... I love the covers Guns has made and I think Axl should stop playin' "Live and let die" and "KOHD". I think the show must have a couple cover and I love that ones but they already played it toooo much. I say, include other 2 covers on the setlist "AIF" and I would love to hear "Sympathy For The Devil " or even a new one we haven't heard already.

I forgot to say I think they should play more UYI tracks, not only AFD tracks like in 2002.
