I say it's for either

a)  More unconfirmed midwest tour stops.  98.9 the rock of K.C. incessantly says Gn'R will be here around Christmas.

or

b)  Promotional appearances by the band

Or... A christmas break for the guys...? They have been touring pretty much constantly since June with only a few weeks gap between the European and US tour.

Holiday break.. they'll have been on the road since may, for the most part... a few weeks for friends/family wont hurt the fans, too much.  2nd leg after the CA dates in Jan... bring the boys back east!

Unless you count THIS one month break.

Break perhaps. Remember Axl on the last night of the euro tour (though he had partied/played that acoustic gig the night before). It might just be to ensure it doesn't happen again. Or maybe we will see more dates. I wouldn't read too much into it at this point though.

I think thats the best bet. I don't think they will do any midwest dates duringthe gap. I think they will be part of the 2 leg of the tour.

This break might be preparations for the album, promotional stuff, photo shoots, etc.

I think it would be for a Christmas break. they deserev it. they've been going pretty good this year. I think its a good thing, though I would not be surprised a all if they add a New year's gig. ok

A new yrs gig again would be pretty cool. BUt I agree, most of the band have families, and such, and they have been rocking hard, consistenly thus far, may be a good time for all of them to celebrate, and share the success of CD, and more than that, each other and thier respective families.

On the '91 tour they took a break between Dec 18-27 for Christmas. It does seem like an extra long break though this time and I can't figure out why they wouldn't play New Years Eve.

Maybe they'll play the Kroq Accoustic Christmas?

(If the lineup hasn't been anounced already...)
