From an interview with Ozzy Osbourne:

After nearly 45 years of making music, making mayhem and riding the kind of rock ?n? roll ?Crazy Train? that has few peers, Ozzy Osbourne is the first to acknowledge that his very existence ?is a (expletive) miracle.?

?With everything I?ve done and gone through, I?m just a very lucky guy I?m not 6 feet under shoving up (expletive) daisies, y?know?? says Osbourne, 62.

?I?m like the laboratory rat that survived.?

?You know, throughout my career the most memorable things I?ve done have come out of nowhere,? he explains. ?On the ?Scream? album I didn?t go, ?I want it to sound like this. I want it to sound like that.? I can hear Sabbath. I can hear my solo stuff. I can hear contemporary things.

?Being Ozzy Osbourne, you?re very limited to what you can explore. If you try to be too clever, people will go, ?Oh, it sounds too progressive.? I mean, I couldn?t be (expletive) progressive if I tried to. But people like Ozzy to sound a certain way, so that?s what we?ve given them.?

From an interview with Gus G.:

Feb 17 2011

Are you writing any material for a new Ozzy album?

I definitely have a lot of ideas. I've made a lot of riffs and some demos. We have been going back and forth, talking about it. But it's kind of too early to say anything, because we're still on the road. I don't know what the plan is once this tour is done. I'm feeling inspired, so if I get the call to go back in the studio with Ozzy ? we just have to wait and see.

How are the Ozzy riffs you're writing sounding?

It's hard to describe. It's definitely not like Firewind. I guess you can hear my style in there, but if I would make another Ozzy album, I would like to make the ultimate Ozzy album ? marry the classic stuff but with the new era. I'm just very inspired by the Randy [Rhoads] and Jake [E. Lee] albums. I'm writing in that vein and some more Sabbathy riffs. It's hard to tell, really. I could say it reminds me of Sabbath, but you never know how that's going to end in the final production with the whole band playing and the vocal lines. It's really early stages to talk about it.

'I was too involved with myself to notice': Sharon Osbourne shoulders the blame for her family's $1.7 million tax debt

Osbourne, 58, said although she initially blamed her accountant she was now taking full responsibility for the $1.7 million unpaid bill.

'Even though he is paid to do a job, the buck stops with me,' she said.

'He did say "I'm to blame," but I'm to blame because I didn't care enough.

'I was too involved with myself. I cancelled two meetings with him over the last 18 months because I was way too busy.

The bottom line is it stops with me, so I have to face up, be a big woman and realise I'm not Mrs Wonderful.'

peaking on the deadline day for filing taxes in the United States, she added: 'It's done and dealt with and I can't say "it was that person, it was that person, it wasn't me". The buck stops with me and I'm filing today.'

But she joked: 'I didn't say I would pay it - I just said I was filing.'

Despite Sharon's jokes, the Osbournes confirmed last week that they had paid off the $1.7 million debt.

Jack Osbourne

 Thursday, 21 Apr 2011

MYFOXNY.COM - There was a time in the life of legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne when praying was all that was left to do in order to survive.

Jack Osbourne, Ozzy's son, stopped by the Good Day New York studios in the morning to talk about that trying time as it is being relived in the new documentary 'God Bless Ozzy Osbourne.'

Sharon Osbourne:

1 May

Mrs Sharon Osbourne

Just when we thought it was safe with the IRS, here they come again! This time their fault, not mine. Not taking this one laying down.

Mine was a fuck up, yours was a "PROCEDURAL ERROR". The bill has been paid, in fact I'm owed a rebate. Please send. Big Kiss, Mrs O

Why is there always drama in my life?

Ozzy talks Sabbath, classic reissues

By DARRYL STERDAN, QMI Agency

What do you think Randy would be doing today if he were still around?

Do you know what? It doesn't matter. Just the fact that he would be alive would be enough for me. But I can tell you one thing: he wasn't a guy who wanted to play rock 'n' roll only. On that last bus trip, just before he died, he sat up with me and told me wanted to go to university in California and get a degree in classical guitar. I said, 'Are you serious? Stick around. You can go to university later.' And then he died. But he was a true musician. He was writing classical pieces. He was into the art of music, not just the rock 'n' roll. He was a brilliant player. I don't know what he'd be doing now. But I still wish he was here.

It seems every time one member of Black Sabbath mentions a reunion, another one shoots it down. Do you think it will ever happen?

I haven't got a clue. If they want to call me, they can call me. I never say never. If it works, fine. If it don't, I'll move on. It ain't the end of the world. I ain't gonna get a box of Kleenex and cry my eyes out for the rest of my life.

Why is it so hard for you four to agree?

Well, we're not kids anymore. I don't wanna bulls--- them and I don't want them to bulls--- me. Why should I go back to that and be unhappy when I'm happy right now? I mean, I would love to do a great album with Black Sabbath. I would love to get the credit we so roundly deserve. At the same time, the pressure would be really intense. I could go tomorrow and make an album with them, but it wouldn't necessarily be something I would be proud of.

Jack Osbourne says dad Ozzy is 'no messed up character'

9 June 2011

God Bless Ozzy Osbourne is a hard-hitting documentary which lifts the lid on life growing up as an Osbourne.

"I did this mainly because I was fed up of the way the media was still portraying my dad as this bumbling, messed up character," he explained.

Ozzy sexting? hihi

Sharon said: "He's gorgeous. He's in Europe. He's doing all the summer festivals this year in Europe, he's very busy.

"It's good now because he's texting. So we're texting each other all the time. I got a text from Ozzy yesterday and I'm like, 'Jesus, somebody's stolen his phone.' Because I thought somebody found his phone and they were texting me dirty messages. And Silvana, my assistant, goes, 'Oh my god, Ozzy's just sent you this really dirty text.' And I'm like, 'Well it's not him, somebody must have stolen his phone, he can't text'. But it was him.  He's calling himself text boy now."

This from Tony Iommi to The Quietus.

June 24th, 2011

Iommi also offered a sheepish semi-promise of another Black Sabbath reunion, albeit only when the time is right.

?You?ll have to wait and see. We?ve been doing all different stuff. I just talked to Ozzy this morning ? we talk about three times a week. He?s doing his tour and I?ve been doing stuff with Ian Gillan, I?ve done a few tracks with him, and I?ve been doing me book. So, when the time is right. If we?re still alive.?

About the reunion, Geezer said there will not be a reunion. Let's see if he'll stick to his word.

Firewing and ex-Ozzy guitarist Gus G claims he worried about doing Ozzy classics justice and says Jake E Lee is totally under-rated

 July 14, 2011

Firewind guitarist Gus G has fond memories of supporting heavy metal legends Judas Priest and Whitesnake on their recent Greek dates. Speaking exclusively to presenter Tom Russell from RockAAA?s stablemate Rock Radio, Gus raved about new Priest player Richie Faulkner and he said ?they?re putting on such a great show?.

Gus also chatted about his work with Ozzy Osbourne, explaining the challenges he faced doing the classic songs justice. He described his respect for all of Ozzy?s previous guitarists, especially Jake E. Lee, whom Gus called ?very underrated?.

EXCLUSIVE: Sharon Osbourne Confirms She's Taking a Break from 'The Talk'

"I've kept it no secret that I really miss my husband," says Osbourne. "He'll have been on tour for 18 months by the time it's over. I've spent a lot of time away from him. He gets a break at the end of September and so I've asked [the show] for a little break so I can be with him."

"I don't want to give [it] up. It's a great, great show. We've all worked really hard over the last year. I'm not going to walk away from that. I just need some real good quality time to be with my hubby.

Black Sabbath to reform with original line-up and new studio album

"THE most closely guarded secret in rock music can be revealed ? the original Black Sabbath line-up is getting back together. Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward have begun rehearsing for a tour and new studio album.

In June this year vocalist Ozzy and guitarist Iommi wrote new material for a record that will be released next year. ??We?re really looking forward to it and I think the stuff we?ve been writing is really good,?? said 63-year-old Iommi. ??It?s more back to the old original stuff.?? (...)

BLACK SABBATH Guitarist Says There Has Been No Official Confirmation Of Reunion - Aug. 16, 2011

BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi has released the following statement regarding the reports of a reunion of the band's original lineup:

"I'm saddened that a Birmingham journalist whom I trusted has chosen this point in time to take a conversation we had back in June and make it sound like we spoke yesterday about a BLACK SABBATH reunion.

"At the time I was supporting the Home Of Metal exhibition was merely speculating shooting the breeze on something all of us get asked constantly, 'Are you getting back together?'

"Thanks to the Internet it's now gone round the world as some sort of 'official' statement on my part; absolute nonsense. I hope he's enjoyed his moment of glory, he won't have another at my expense.

"To my old pals, Ozzy, Geezer and Bill, sorry about this, I should have known better."

The original SABBATH lineup has not toured together since summer 2005, and last convened for their induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in early 2006.

SABBATH did try to record a new album 12 years ago, their first since 1978, but abandoned the attempt after just a couple of songs.

Oh no...

Osbourne Not Cutting Nudity From Film About Dad

August 24th, 2011

The young director admits his dad, Ozzy Osbourne, was stunned when he saw a first cut of God Bless Ozzy Osbourne and realized he was nude ? and insisted his son cut the footage from the movie before it hit cinemas.

Jack says, ?I?m like, ?Too late!? There is nudity in it.?

Young Osbourne is proud of his film, which he insists depicts his dad as an ?astute? star, but he?s still not sure what the rocker thinks of the film.

He tells Access Hollywood Live, ?The only thing he said was, ?I?m not that bad am I?? It?s pretty harsh at times.?
