I'm a bit surprised Jack Iron wasn't considered as well. He played on No Code and Yield and co wrote fan favorites such as Who You Are, in My Tree, Red Mosquito and I'm Open.
Maybe they considered that he is already in with RHCP.

Am I imaging things, or didn't Dave briefly jam with Guns' before or after Josh Freese?
Pretty sure it was before Josh and after Matt. I think he was the one that made the remark that you could "hunt buffalo" with the guitar rig in the Guns studio.

You should have seen the cover they wanted to do. It wasn't a glove, believe me.

Could be but it isn't like he'd be the first inducted twice.

You really could make the argument only Dave A and Matt Cameron deserve to be in. Yes Dave Krusen played on Ten but it was Matt Cameron who played on those early demos sent to Eddie Vedder that became some of the greatest songs of all time.

Their first singles pretty much always seems underwhelming

Agreed, they don't seem to usually release the best first.

I am wondering when the album will be out, my guess probably not until late fall considering they're on tour until early September.

I?d guess just in time for Christmas. Plus there?s been rumours for months of lots and lots of touring next year.

That would make sense. Put the album out around the holidays tour in support of it next year. Obviously they won't release it during the current tour. I just hope they hit Dallas. Before their show here in it was 10 years in between shows and already almost 6 since the last.

New single is cool , very refreshing and different for them , pleased it wasn’t a political punk song like I was expecting. Kinda has a Talking Heads , Bowie , Devo vibe 👌🏽

Not the hugest Pearl Jam fan
Liked the first few albums but lost interest since
But the single has a cool vibe and groove - commend them for shaking things up a bit

yeah very good single, refreshing for the band, curious about the album, I think it's the first time since No Code

You should give their later albums another try. Don't think they've ever put out a bad album.

I'm not a fan of Dance Of The Clairvoyants. Reminds me a bit of Tame Impala (a band I really like), but the rawness of PJ's signature sound is missing here , the funky electronic dance beat seems really out of place.

That bassline instantly made me think of The Breeders song "Cannonball." Hadn't thought of that song in ages.
