Eternal Sunshine of Spotless Mind

Million Dollar Baby

I don't think these two qualified as action / adventure. "Eternal sunshine..." is more of a drama. If anything else, it could be classified as a comedy, but definitely not action nor adventure. "Million Dollar Baby" is also drama, and a very sad one. Yes, the movie is about a female boxer but just because there are a few punches it doesn't make it an action movie.

Fight Club is just impossible to fit in any genre really.? If there was a category of Brilliant films, Fight Club would own that one.? Tongue

I'll add my nominations later...

Snatch (this HAS to make it!)

Wrong category by the rules established by Neemo.
Will be listed under Comedy most likely.

Well I can't see why Snatch would be considered any more of a comedy and any less of an action movie than The Incredibles.

yeah...that's why we're gonna use IMBD for classifications

The Incredibles - Genre: Animation / Action / Adventure / Comedy / Family / Fantasy / Sci-Fi
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0317705/

Snatch - Genre: Comedy / Crime / Sport / Thriller (more)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0208092/

there you have it....incredibles can be nominated in comedy and action....snatch only can be nominated in comedy....sorry Undecided

by the end it'll all work out I'm sure yes

No biggie, but you said before that the genres were listed alphabetically.  Nonetheless, I've always considered crime to be a subgenre of action.

sub genre's don't count unless there are no major genre's listed...yeah i know the first hiccough but it'll work itself out after a few rounds Wink

Ok fine... you win this round Neemo... Of course, this year, the Wings will fall into the comedy category as well  hihi.  Snatch is the best comedy of the 00s then...  Tongue

Let's see... I'll go back and edit my original post.

Ok Nominate you favorite Action Adventure Movies of the 21st Century) Use this link for a guideline:

http://www.imdb.com/chart/2000s

My Nominations:

Harry Potter and The Prisionor Of Azkaban
The Incredibles
Lord Of The Rings - Fellowship of the Ring
Lord Of The Rings - The Two Towers
Pirates Of The Carribean - The Curse Of the Black Pearl
Sin City

Never heard anyone - ever, EVER, call those films ACTION/ ADVENTURE flicks

An action/adventuire flick is something like Die Hard - Harry Potter?!? What have u been smoking? - thats a 'fantasy' film - just like Star Wars is 'sci-fi' not action

then vote it off if it gets nominated...i don't classify this shit....we can debate edlessly what is what or we can use IMDB...the site is right there just use it....if there is a better site to classify shit then by all means let me know and we'll switch...also like i said in the other thread...we can determine how sci-fi/fantasy is represented after this first decade and if necessary and everyone agrees then we can add that genre.

I'm just trying to make this as easy as possible for everybody...including myself

and LOTR isn't action? oh ok then... maybe not your typical commando action film but there are some big action sequneces in all those films you quoted

besides if it's shit it's gonna go sooner or later...this is way early to be complaining about what is in or not Undecided

Well Izzy, I take it we're going by the imdb here.  These films are classified by more than one genre in the imdb, and action or adventure has to be one of the genres listed by the imdb.  They are all listed under action or adventure in the imdb, so they're fair play.  I got a lesson in the rules... now I can teach a course on it.
