Sky Captain looks disgusting. I thought it was a fucking cartoon.
Quote
It's a shame i've already missed 'Gozu', I reakon you'd have really liked that. It's by Takashi Miike - the guy who did 'Audition' and 'Ichi the Killer'.
Dude, Ichi the Killer fucking rules!!
The last film I saw was Mildred Pearce, in Film Studies today.
It's probably best if the rest of you havn't seen it...
...It's tolerable though, I guess...If that's your thing.
Asside from that muck from the 1940's, I also recently watched Prince of Darkness again. Fucking classic movie, if you're into that sort of thing.

I'm getting kinda interested in seeing Sky Captain....hearing extremely mixed reviews about it.
Anyway, watched Evil Dead 2 and Fargo, again.

Miz, if you liked Ichi the Killer you should seriously check out 'Audition'. Except you
have
to watch it by yourself, and you
have
to make sure nobody tells you anything about it beforehand (this tip brought to you from the guy who got you into Pink Floyd).
I just brought another one of his films called 'Dead or Alive', but I haven't watched it yet. Looks way cool, though.

I think we have Audition in my house. i fell asleep during it, whoops. But it's got a great ending. FUCK!
Dead Or Alive is supposed to be class. I've been trying to buy that for ages now.
Have you seen Battle Royale, Dan? I need to get the second part.

Dead or Alive you can get for ?7.99 at play.com - although it's probably about twenty quid in HMV.
And yeah, Battle Royal is class. I've seen the sequel, but it sucked so badly I stopped watching towards the end.

Just saw The Forgotten today. It was actually pretty good, made me jump out of my seat one time. It was better than I expected, since its gotten some bad reviews.

its the only time i think ive been injured watching a movie, it made us jump several times and was a good movie, fuck bad reviews, i mean if u try to make this a logical movie, sure it would suck but if u suspend disbelief it was very compelling.
i jumped back and slammed my knee against the cup holder thingies; Fuck that hurt!

I rented and watched the new Jim Carrey movie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I only stuck it out less then halfway through this movie, because well I really didnt like it. It wasnt that the movie or performances were crap its just that the story and plotline was so damn weird and out there. If you like really weird movies like Vanilla Sky is a pretty good comparison to this movie then you might get some enjoyment out of it.

i bought and absolutely love eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
KIND OF A SPOILER SO DONT READ IF U WANNA WATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
it is very very complicated and hard to follow, i was the only one out of my brother and friend watching it who understood it from beginning to end.
they erase his memories and while it is happening he realizes how much he loves her
the beginning of the movie when he takes the train and ends up on the beach and meets her on the train, that happened after both their memories were blanked and they fell in love again, kirsten dunst mailed all those tapes to them and they figured it all out
thats why elijah wood asked jim carrey why the fuck he was in front of her house etc.
that movie was amazing but then again id recommend it to no one, its very weird, very bizarre and very very fuckin hard to follow, its a complete mind fuck but i love shit like that

I was expecting a much better film, but it was still pretty entertaining. I didn't find it hard to follow, I just thought it was a 'nice' romantic comedy.
Oh, and that chick was really annoying when stoned.
