...you learned that tonight's show (12th) was made primarily up of the same songs from the '02 shows?

Personally, I'm really hoping that we get a listen of something brand new or at least one or two of the leaks that we've come across. If not either of those, maybe some different Illusion era songs.

Either way, I'm just really excited that GN'R are back and are now set loose on the streets! Having only seen them once (which ironically was there last show at MSG in '02) tonight's show will be something very special even if it's the exact same set (hell...I missed the first fours songs last time so I'm at least hoping to hear Jungle, Browstone, and Easy). From the sound of Axl on Trunk's show, '02 was a bit forced. These shows and the Euro tour are certainly the beginning of something different, something huge, something that will trek on through for the next few years (hopefully). This, my friends, is the beginning of the era that is Chinese Democracy! I for one will NOT be disapointed in any regard...

...as long as Axl shows tonight, that is  hihi

I, too, will be hosting pics.

You can email them to pilferkgnrpics@hotmail.com

I have access to ftp space that has been set up for us for just this purpose, so can host the pics and post links here to them.

Not really...Im going in with low expectations in regards to the setlist.  Im expecting the same songs.  I reckon he might play one of the leaked tracks.  If he plays any more than that, Ill certainly be surprised.

I'm sure he'll make a comment before playing 'Better'. Something like "So I hear some of you heard this song"

Nope i'm not a regular poster but still read you guys all the time. I'm as big a GnR fan as you all....first time i saw them was 1992. I'm from Liverpool England so am obviously not going tonight....but am going to Download to see them. Anyway, just wanted to say how jealous i am of you all going tonight and have a great time. Axl is back, hearing him on that radio show the other night was amazing and i cant wait to read your stories about tonight....so get them posted as soon as you get home!!

I know there was a question on what time they are going to go on. I called Hammerstein and they said that the openers will be going on at 8:30 (not the previously discussed 9). Maybe that means GnR won't be on as late as people thought...hope this helps

I'd be a little disappointed if it is exactly the same, but not really. I got jipped in Philly, so anything at all would be amazing for me. As long as they play well I'll be happy!
