just a question for those who saw the old and the new band: wich band sounded better onstage?
and did the new songs (the blues, madagascar) sound great during the show?

30th May 1993 - The National Bowl - Milton Keynes - UK - Izzy was there and R.Wood from the Rolling Stones played on 1 track Smiley
26th August 2002 - London Arena - London - UK

The National Bowl gig was better as it was set out side and much much louder than the London Arena gig. The London Arena gig was average, the arena has sound issues, i think the venue was more suited to sporting events. Still, seeing Buckethead was interesting, Robin was cool and Axl was in a good mood. So, the London gig was ok, the Milton Keynes gig was amazing!!!!!

31 august 1991 at wembley stadium
23 august 2002 at the leeds carling festival
both gigs were awesome, but the old band had a better stage presence.

They came to Slane in '92, but you have to be over 18 or have someone over 18 with you to get in. I hope they come back to Ireland if not I might go to the UK IF they tour again

In leiu of the NYC shows (which I will hopefully be attending both), I am curious to see what GN'R shows other members of this board have been to?  Here is my list:

-MSG, NY 12/8/91
-Giants Stadium, NJ 7/18/92 (w/Metallica and Faith No More)
-New Haven, CT 3/6/93
-Albany, NY 11/26/02
-MSG, NY 12/5/06

Hopefully, the Hammerstein will be shows 6 and 7!

Chicago '02
Albany '02
St. Louis Riot

I live in St. Louis, so we hit Chicago. There was a family reunion in NYC, and since I was such a GNR fan, I got a ticket ahead of time and ditched the reunion. Grin

RFK Washington DC 92- This was the first night of the GNR Metallica trek. Great show.
