If you are just a casual fan expecting "Nightrain," I can see why you wouldn't dig TWAT--It is different for GN'R. A lot of those chowder-heads bashing TWAT are too immature and lack the sophistication to appreciate Axl's true artistic vision.

It is more common for people to complain about anything (no matter what the biz is) then praise it. Rarely does a business owner get letters of praise for his/her workers. But they sure as hell will get complaints all day long.

It is human nature.

Also, the bad calls spark the pro-Guns crowd and then you flood them with calls and emails.

If they just gave GNR praise, that would not spark the anti-Axl crowd. That crowd would just shrug their shoulders and turn the dial.

But piss off a fan base and you whip your audience into a frenzy.......so far a 31 page frenzy........

You see?

I have a feeling WAAF posted their best web-cast rating's ever last weekend!  Wonder if Mr. Arbitron was taking heed?

Another site posted that Merck called the Boston station and asked them to stop playing the songs, he also stated that the album isn't done, that scares me a bit?

If it's not done, it surely must be getting there.

If WAAF really thought TWAT was terrible they would not have played it every hour on the hour for 10 hours

Before all my posts about subjective matters there should be an IMO before the post. I took this sig down but of course it has to go back up.

Well if KROQ  is playing IRS as one of their most requested  than maybe  L.A can appreciate some talent better than Bostonians,  As far as GNR making it on KROQ this time around .  In the 80's  GNR  were played  on that station.

Maybe... but i doubt it (people love the crap music KROQ plays nowadays.) Every once ina while songs get played on the furious 5 @ 9 just as a bonus. There were probably two #1's tonight... IRS and whatever the real #1 is.

Sounds like the DJ just wanted to play it because she knew that alot of people would be tuned it for it (furious 5@9)... or.. she was told to play it by someone higher up...

Who knows..

damn, that's cool  Smiley   They should play GNR on Flashback Lunch in that case, but I've yet to hear it!

I didnt start to feel giddy about this whole thing until I heard it on my car radio.  And I dont even listen to KROQ that often.  All of a sudden, it felt REAL to me.  Not just my GNR internet fixation.

Tonight when I got off work I made it just in time to hear 106.7 KROQ in L.A. play IRS on the radio.  I wonder if it was the leak on the internet or an actual single.

Have others noted a difference between IRS now on the radio, and the IRS we have heard within the last few days?

That there's other radio threads on the same page? This is ridiculous. Its like the noobs are blind. You should have posted this in one of the other radio threads instead of creating a new one every time IRS is played.

I agree that the origanal message should have been posted in the other thread, but I was just responding to this one here, seeing as how it would all be merged together anyway, and the subject of the sound of the new single was brought up in this thread.

Take a chill pill. smoking
