Dust N' Bones is definately the worst song ever by Guns N' Roses...its just horrible!  You Ain't the First and Move to the City are really really bad as well.  I wouldn't count My World as a song, cause its only a mess around thing that Axl did, like an interlude, only at the end.  But if I did count My World, I'd still rather listen to that then the other 3 songs I mentioned.  I also won't count Silkworms cause its not going to be released on an album, just something they did live.

uh..
bad apples
you ain't the first
(these songs just boggle my mind...how anyone thought they were good...)
Even My World I find quite entertaining. Not good, but entertaining...
The illusions albums, are unbelievably mixed bag. The songs are either really really reaaaaally good, or terrible, but terrible to a point where if you listen to them enough, they start to sound alright.

not a big fan of
Knockin' on Heaven's Door
Live and let Die
or really any of their covers....
I don't understand why such talented musicians waste their time playing other people's songs. Covers in general, or tribute albums I find awful. What's the point of interpreting other people's art if you can just make your own? it's always seemed like, if you can't write a decent song, go cover someone else's. Just seems like a waste of time. The original is always the best, because it meant something to the person who wrote it.

Silkworms is the worst song any great band has ever released.

But it wasn't released.

Before all my posts about subjective matters there should be an IMO before the post. I took this sig down but of course it has to go back up.

Wow I had never thought Get In The Ring would be mentioned.

Growing up it was a favourite at school at the time.

GNR kicked ass on Knockin' on Heaven's Door, it was way better than the original or any other version by other bands.  Same with Live and Let Die and Sympathy for the Devil.

not saying they sucked as rendititons. I love all of their original songs better than any of the covers they did, because their orinigal stuff was just so much better (with the exception of bad apples and you ain't the first  Tongue ) then their covers. I just don't see the point.
and everyone and their dog has covered knockin' on heavens door at some point.

pretty much, anything that axl sings, and slash solos on, is gonna sound good. it just seems cheap. already done, let's move on sort of thing...

My goodness, can't imagine how anyone could mention "Bad Apples" here, one of my favourite GNR tracks, or "Oh My God" which is quite good as well. And I disagree wholeheartedly with the last poster, I love it when a band I really like does a few covers.

I don't consider "My World" to be an actual song, just a little 'experiment'. Plus the way Axl says "Oh my distorted smile" makes it all worth it.

Worst song candidates: Anything Goes, You're Crazy (Appetite version), Back Off Bitch, Shotgun Blues, So Fine, The Garden. I have actually come around to like Anything Goes over the years and it survives to that 'winding clock' sound at the start (any song using that instrument gets a thumbs up from me), Back Off Bitch survives due to that wicked Axl laugh early in the song. As for the others, ugh:

The winner, or more appropriately, the Loser: So Fine

Some seriously cracked out answers in this thread.  So Fine???  Come on, that song fucking rocks!

Worst GNR song ever: My World.

Song I cannot stand: Patience.

I have to say that I'm shocked that Anything goes and Shotgun Bluesmade an appearence on this thread <whew> i'm over it.

I had a hard time coming up with the worst GNR song - I really don't dislike any, but if I had to pick the songs I least listen to thats might be easier.

Silk Worms- The song is kind of cool, but i'm on the fence

BTW - 'So fine' on the album - not so much, but 'So Fine' live, great fuckin song

I love every GN'R song. Even "So Fine" is cool in its ernest, offbeat awkward way. And I will always love "My World," that took balls.

move to the city. it's a tedious little thing.

my world was the first step of what chinese democracy is,
so it makes me laugh when i see a lot of you don't like it, even if
it's more an experimental demo than a real song. think about it  hihi

My World is the worst 'thing' they've ever released, Oh My God was the most disappointing (although I dig it now, I remember how big the anticipation was and yeah, it flopped).  Get in the Ring is quite possible the lamest song they've ever released, and Think About You is the most tedious song they still play live.

probably you're right. Apparently the fans has kept guessing what he's doing ever since. hihi
The song is short and sweet.
The flaw in My World is the female voice. sounds too professional for my liking.

Get in the Ring....easily the worst...then Anything Goes (the long demo is quite good though)...then Shotgun Blues (good music- bad lyrics)...then.............gasp........Don't Cry! Too sappy...seems like it was written by a 15 year old. I'll give them a break because they were very young at the time. Kiss

to me, my world was the first attempt for Axl to take a new direction for Guns.
it's the last title of the UYI albums, right ? it's just a little demo who says
"come with me in this direction". only dizzy heard it apparently hihi

oh my god was the next step, the result of what Axl musically loves.

we can ear the final step in Better, in another musical level.

ps : bad apples, bad obsession, move to the city are songs i can live without  hihi
