Chinese Democracy listing on Amazon

In all sincerity, I've placed a call to my friend to see if he can pry any info out of his Geffen contacts.  Last time I tried this I got a terse "No Comment" - but we'll see if it proves any more lucrative this time around.

I gues the price has nothing to say. Looks like they just replaced the title on the WTTJ preorder-page with Chinese democracy and are now awaiting further info from the label. Let's be honest, folks, this could only mean a few things.

First: Are we sure Amazon only lists a release when the record company told them to to so?
I'd say YES. Anything else doesn't make any sense.

Second: 2025 is a default date.

So what does it mean?
Amazon was told last month to list WTTJ. It is unsure if Universal actually intended to release that one or if they just did it as a message to Axl.

Now they were told to list CD instead. Could mean two things: CD is indeed on the way. Or maybe Geffen is again trying to force Axl. I think the first speculation is more realistic.

I buy lots of stuff on Amazon, and over the years I've never seen CD listed.

I can confirm on the Amazon listing, too - CD has never been listed there.

(Not even when the Dec 3, 2002 thing was happening with the print ads and all that)

I doubt Amazon would mess around with jokes considering that a are a major online store. ?To agree with everyone, this is the first time I have ever seen CD listed too. ?If CD were to be released at a 12 midnight store opening on
Dec 31, what would you do go out and celebrate New Years or go get Chinese Democracy?\

CD switched  back to WTTJ, and is now around 2000 sales
