It's using the same item listing # that WTTJ used, so if you pull it up, if you have a "cached" version of the page, you can still see the WTTJ page.

It's listing as CD for me...

And people are right.  Amazon doesn't list products unless advised to by the label....I'm asking my friend in music retail if she's heard anything.

Refund??? Then my credit card company still charge interest on that. This is crap. Then I'm pretty sure It is not coming out.

They don't charge until it ships on preorders.

(I'm wondering if it means Amazon something or another, or if its a more.. Universal tag, if that makes sense)

I think this is not the first time that CD is listed for pre-order... I have seen this movie before...

The other time was a joke by some asshole.

No, some comical genius decided to take a screen capture of a product on amazon and altered it to look like a listing for CD.

Then they claimed it had been advertised on Amazon but then vanished.

The fraud was only revealed when someone with an eagle eye noticed a tiny mistake in their creative work of fiction.

This ASIN number begs a question:

If they've used the same ASIN number, does it mean that the 'best of' album does not exist, and is no longer being considered for a release - and does that add weight to Chinese Democracy being released soon instead (as mentioned in the deadline discussions)?

I gues the price has nothing to say. Looks like they just replaced the title on the WTTJ preorder-page with Chinese democracy and are now awaiting further info from the label. Let's be honest, folks, this could only mean a few things.

First: Are we sure Amazon only lists a release when the record company told them to to so?
I'd say YES. Anything else doesn't make any sense.

Second: 2025 is a default date.

So what does it mean?
Amazon was told last month to list WTTJ. It is unsure if Universal actually intended to release that one or if they just did it as a message to Axl.

Now they were told to list CD instead. Could mean two things: CD is indeed on the way. Or maybe Geffen is again trying to force Axl. I think the first speculation is more realistic.
