Saw Def last night at Mohegan.  They were quite good, as always.  Same setlist as posted earlier, which is a great thing.  I was one of the selected few who actually knew "Nine Lives".  Most people took a breather during that one.  I thought it sounded great live though.  These guys just keep on touring, they're something else.

Good for you bro.

DEF LEPPARD has postponed four Canadian shows due to an upper respiratory tract infection affecting the band's lead singer, Joe Elliott. The group's tour, which was arranged in support of DEF LEPPARD's forthcoming album release, kicked off earlier this month with the Canadian leg scheduled to commence last night (April 11) in Quebec City.

Elliott has been suffering with an upper respiratory tract infection for the past two days and has been advised by doctors that he needs to rest.

"I am disappointed that we can't perform the shows in Canada," said Elliott. "The band and I really look forward to coming back to play soon."

The affected dates are as follows:

April 11 - Quebec City, QC (Colisee Pepsi Arena)
April 12 - Ottawa, ON (Scotiabank Place)
April 13 - Hamilton, ON (Copps Arena)
April 16 - Winnipeg, MB (MTS Centre)

DEF LEPPARD hopes to resume its North American tour on April 18 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Upper respiratory infections usually don't inhibit your ability to take a whiz.

That being said: If you are having trouble breathing and your doc wants to stick his finger up your ass, get a new doctor!

Finally got to watch the 2001 "Hysteria:Def Leppard Story" on VH1 earlier today, and
boy was that cheesy! The guy who played Joe Elliott couldn't have been a worse choice!
Looked nothing and sounded nothing like him! Very disappointed.

They need to get movies about groups on the big screen more, not on some
lame network with commercials and edits. The Def Lepp story reminded me of
an afterschool special or some lame ass Lifetime movie.

This song is fantastic.

I don't see what the big deal is about McGraw. It's not as if the song is saturated with his style or anything.

I went nuts when they played this at Mohegan a couple weeks back.  I think there were a handful of other people in our section who did as well.  You gotta respect the new songs when they're good.  And I like this one.

As for Tim McGraw.  Yeah I don't really see the big deal either.  I was worried when I first heard the news, but I wouldn't have noticed the collaboration at all if I didn't know about it.  I guess the naysayers could look at it by saying they're selling out, but unfortunately that's what you have to do in this day and age to get noticed.  Look at all the respected artists going on that crappy American Idol show.  Getting Tim McGraw on this song could get some of his fans, or country fans in general, to notice the new album.  Smart business move, we'll see if it pays off.  When's the album due out again?

I really liked Leppard back in the mid/late 80s but haven't really listened to any of their stuff since Hysteria; about the same time I heard AFD, I think.  But this song isn't bad and does have their unmistakable sound stamped on it and I've always liked the rough edge to Joe's voice.  Is it just me or does Sav have the look of Duff about him in this video?

I have the Def Leppard album in its entireity, in perfect quality.

Worst song is 191 kbps and best is 231 kbps. Which is essentially A+ quality just like the cd. I'm only 5 songs into it and so far "Love" is the standout track... which is the ballad of the album...

What a good cd so far, worth the 6 year wait!!!!

Yeah don't want to say too much because I am still trying to work out just how good this CD is, but lets say it is fucking good.

Easily the best CD they have done in 10 years. Best in 20 years? Need to give it more time, but honestly, and I know this is a gnr board, ChiDem is going to have to show a hell of a lot more that it has so far to compete with this CD when I chose what to listen to. Well written, catchy tunes, good guitars, and it really rocks.

Even Love, which I really didn't like from the early clips is such an interesting song.

I have listened to the entire cd now, I can say that this cd isn't really a return to "Hysteria" or anything, but it's rockin and harder than X.

Now I'm just one listen through, so I must not say anything outlandish but this seems to be a better cd than X. I liked X a lot though. THere's some rockin guitar riffs by Campbell and Collen.

This cd sounds kinda like Pyromania in some ways...  if comparing it to other albums... I would say it's a mix of Adrenalize and Pyromania... that's just me.

"Love" is awesome. I'll update later
