we got the who do you hate thread goin on-  now how about a thread about bands you have respect for-  and try to say why if you can.

Tool-  just an amazing band- not afraid to do something different, same with A Perfect Circle (or as i call em Tool-lite) i dont see anyone disagreeing with this one

The Gorillaz-   the very first ever cartoon band.   at first it seemed kinda stupid/lazy,  but i've been reading that their planning to tour them around as some sort of Holograms on a stage, (not sure how its gonna work-  but im so there dude)  and the music is catchy.

DR. Dre-   you gotta give the doc his respect- great producer, great business man-  his label carries some of the biggest money makers in the industry right now- Eminem, and 50cent and that crew.    say what you will about them-  they are where they are because of dre- and every G-unit hat you see some white kid on the bus wearing put money into his pocket.

no clint,  i'd never anything g-unit-  in fact i dont like having anything but bands printed on my clothes...  and no-  my respect does NOT go to 50cent-  yes fuck that asshole, i hate him and everything he stands for-   but kudos to dre for cashing in on him-   if dre and eminem did'nt sign him someone else would have and he'd still be here.

and another thing clint im not even white- im an indian,    if you had any sort of character you'd apologize. (which im not expecting.)

papa roach became popular when rap/rock "nu-metal" (a term i hate) was popular, and now that its not popular anymore they've changed their sound.  (thats not saying anything about the quality of any of their music)       i have more respect for Limp Bizkit for sticking with their sound no matter how much people say they suck.  even though fred durst is was a total MTV whore with a small wiener.

Because Dr. Dre and Eminem were largely responsible for bringing hip hop to the mainstream, white america.  Therefore, if you see a white person wearing G-Unit clothing, that's linked to the hip hop culture which has only recently been embraced by white people both directly & indirectly as a result of Dre.

My favorite all-time is the mighty Led-Zeppelin.  My favorite band out now is Gov't Mule. The hardest working guys in the business and Warren Haynes is my favorite guitarist, along with Jimmy Page.  Also:

Soundgarden

Pink Floyd

The Beatles

The Stones

Muse

oh yea, GNR too. beer
