I dont know but we'd probably just be big fans of whatever kind of music was out.

i definitely dig Mozart, so I could see being an all classical fanatic

where is the next Mozart or Beethoven?

what happened to the child prodigy composers?

there are some great composers out there, its just nobody gives a damn except a select few classical music fans.

danny elfman is a damn great composer, but mainstream music fans would only know of his work from movies or the simpsons theme.

also, mozart was writing a style of music that was popular at the time. of course he would be remembered.

just like the rock and pop stars of today woud be remembered. but whether they'd be remembered for hundreds of years to come like mozart is another question.

if there was no rock music, there'd still be blues, jazz and ofcourse classical. rock influenced a lot music so pretty much all music influenced after rock wouldn't exist in a sense. i guess electronic music would of still come around so ppl would be listening to that.

If there was no rock and roll i would be listening to Techno, and hip-hop mainly cos i love to dance.... but seriously rock and roll is my life. and when i try and tell someone that, they dont understand how i could have such a passion for music... i would go stupid if rock n roll ever died...

Very boring and depressing. (like when I try and listen to classical music) Thank goodness for Chuck Berry and Bill Hailey.

Probably some guitar instrumental stuff, Solo artists, etc. But considering that RnR got me into guitar in the first place, I wouldn't be listening to anything.  nervous

Exactly!, life without rock is just black and white, we need more colours to spice it up.

In a lot of ways, it would be better. If classical were appreciated more, we might have recognized a new Wagner, Holst, Mozart, etc. On the other hand, we probably wouldn't have heavy metal, either...

Music would overall be more elitist and more recognized as an art form than what a bunch of kids and do with 3 chords. It would definitely have more respect as a form of expression.

All music is an art form! Some of the most beautiful music has been created with three chords.

Not all art is equal. Most 3 chord bands are worthless at best, and anti-productive to the scene at worst. You're missing my point. Music was for its own sake just a little more than a century ago. It wasn't slowed down by trendy worldviews, hedonism, and egotism. Not all music is like that now, but it's not looking good overall.
