Petition To Get Dimebag Into The Hall Of Fame- PLEASE SIGN

 A petition has been launched to get late PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Dimebag was gunned down by a deranged fan on December 8, 2004 while performing with DAMAGEPLAN at the Alrosa Villa nightclub in Columbus, Ohio.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame "honors the legendary performers, producers, songwriters, disc jockeys and others who have made rock and roll the force in our culture that it is," according to the organization's official description. Dimebag was obviously legendary, and certainly helped shape the culture and the future of music. While the definition of the term "rock & roll" is somewhat ambiguous, the Hall does have a heavy metal category. Inductees are announced annually during a December ceremony.

What happened to him was tragic, but lets slow down.  The Sex Pistols arent even in there yet; realistically, hell never be inducted.

I didnt make this petition up..But yes i belive its 25 years together and because of the idiot that shot him 25 years is impossible and this man definetly deserved to be in it

agree with D too.  The dude never rocked my world. I know nothing about him except for his corny name & was in a band I hardly explored. I thought my friends were talking about the dude selling blunts on the corner.  didn't they make a wah wah after him?

hey dude....  I never said he wasn't good or that he didn't deserve. I can't comment cuzz I really don't know about him too much. If I came off harsh, sorry cuzz I'm having a shitty day.  I just agree to just slow down on this.... in fact I held myself off on reading how & why he got shot only so my own emotions don't make the decisions for me on his music ability as being stated "legend".

I think the point of this is kinda that he probaly wouldnt have been inducted in for a couple of years yet or until pantera reunited, But because of his death he wont be around when the 25 year opportunity comes
