And generally, i can't stand a lot of music anymore, there are too many so called " artists" out there, too much choice when you think about it and it all sounds the fucking same.

A band or an actor isn't good just because they make the prod cash in on them. But that's what the public seems to think and i don't walk into their steps.

Oh, are those the "rules" of rap?  If you want to rap, you must be "talking about your whores"??...

I thought most of the people here could see through the "corporate" state of music, since they all bitch and moan about bands like Good Charlotte, I figured that meant they KNEW there was better music out there, and they don't want to listen to what's being fed to them... but you're turning around and letting "J-Kwon" or "Chingy" represent rap music. 

There are CLEAR examples of rap artists who DON'T follow your "rules".  Fuck, honestly:  Outkast, Eminem, Kanye West, Jay-Z... probably the biggest names out there right now.  I could only find maybe 5 songs from all of their last albums combined that even remotely fit into your "rules".... and these are mainstream artists.... lord knows how many unknowns are rapping about something other than their bling.

All rock bands aren't teenagers complaining about their parents, and all rap artists aren't twats talking about their whores.

Ahhhhh, but there's that phrase again "I don't call it rap music, I call it crap music"... if you don't like it fine, but don't be close-minded and talk about it like you have a clue.

i mean, the gnr equation was Led Zeppelin+Sex Pistols+Cheap Trick, mainly sex pistols and led zeppelin 
also punk had some of the worlds classic albums,  sex pistols nevermind the bollocks, clash london calling, uk subs endangered species, green day dookie, andmore


The bad things are-  thehorrible bands that the sex pistols and such have influenced, like simple plan and new found glory.  But good charlotte is good,  they just fellinto the trap many bands fall into.  The young and the hopeless was a greatalbum, very underrated.  nyways punk has been horribly twisted, b4 it was anti-main stream andpeople have made it main stream
