For the sake of getting things back on track, the last person who followed the rules, eventually, and recommended a song was Red1

I Think My Girl Friend Is An Arsonist- Fortune Drive
I actually liked this song. A good driving beat, catchy tune. If I didnt have their profile staring me in the face while I listened I would definitely have guessed a British band. Good sound, I would definitely buy this.

I will recommend:
The District Sleeps Alone Tonight - The Postal Service

Sorry but I know the rules. Maybe the band I have mentioned are known elsewhere, but the only people that I know that are familiar with them are me and my friend, and it was me that introduced them to my friend so where I am at least they are unkown. So I'd expect more respect than that.

Please read...

Apart from B-Sides/Rare songs, please do not add a song by a band with a major record deal, or bands who get serious airplay.
If you wish to recommend a song, please describe the band, and song.
Post your own recommended independent albums/songs only after commenting on another album or song previously posted.
You can however add songs by bands, who have recently hit the big time, but maybe have a few albums (released on indies) the majority have not heard.

I would have thought the last paragraph applied to the band I mentioned, as I said maybe they are big elsewhere but not where I am. Plus the post above me was quoted from another post and didn't bring up any new songs, so there wasn't really anything to comment on. My mistake if the band I brought up are big in other countries but not that I was aware of, I will delete my post if it offended you that much

I don?t know your band.

I just wondered how come Kujo managed to pick the song Red1 recommended?
Ooh I see, it was in another page.. Almost understandable.

What ever, I think this thread shouldn?t be sticky anymore.

Evo was just pointing out that I recommended a song that nobody commented on yet, there was no problem with the band that you listed peace

We should start giving negative karma to those who doesn't read the rules... (not if that will change anything..)

I seriously don't understand it. This is a good thread, but some ruin it time after time.

I don't know if Jarmo agrees with this, but I'd give a positive karma point to whoever comes with the best idea to solve the little problem we have here.

On topic, c'mon people, I see no review of Kujo's suggestion! That's a great song, but I ain't commenting on it, somebody else has to.

Listen to this first? Angry

Interesting, definitely very indie, the lyrics are cool, singing is too slow at first for me. I give them credit in that they probably made this song with not much more than a PC and created some drum & synth beats on it. So any of us could if we put the effort into it.

Cool they're on SubPop.

Here's a song from a band I recommend. Kindof offbeat, flat tuned, indie music. Not everyone's type but you kindof have to listen to it all the way thru. Their name is Silkworm but they have since disbanded because the drummer was killed in a car accident.
