For anyone wondering why AFD sold 15 million to UYI 7 million, you have to remember that in 1987 Records and Cassettes were all the rage and people bought their First AFD on that format, then in 1991 when the UYI were coming out CD's were popular along with cassettes, so someone who updated to a cd to get the new UYI albums in 1991 would also have to update and by a second AFD album helping crank up and raise their numbers.

Sorry to bring this thread back up from the dead, but apparently AFD is the second most sold debut album after Boston's self titled debut.

In that just the US???

If so it would be fourth... Boston, Alanis, Hootie....

Again like I said before, once they update it AFD will surpass 2 or even all 3 of those!!

Yes, in the U.S. I don't think "Jagged Little Pill" and "Cracked Rear View" have outsold AFD, although both are certified 16x platinum. According to Soundscan, JLP has sold upto 30 million worldwide as of 2006. AFD surely has sold more. Probably same with Hootie.
