It would be interesting to see a movie, but I hope, like always (and they always fuck up), thta they stick to the original script or ideas of whatthe tv series was. When they do so, things turn out well, but in the mean time, let's roll with the transformers.  YAY!!!!!!!!

Still false, just like the reports that it was to be a live-action movie.

Even the superficial "facts" don't match up. WB isn't adapting any previous script, they just optioned one from an outside source (that was the story that started this thread). The script they optioned is an origin story based on the cartoon, not the absurd synopsis you mentioned. And any reboot of the cartoon would have been in production at WB, the new script came from an print advert writer at Fox. So for the story you're citing to be true then either Warner paid money for a script with no intention of using it, despite the fact they own the property it's based on, while forging ahead with an in-house script they'd already scrapped - or - some staff writer at Fox wrote a script based on a scrapped idea developed at WB (either through pure coincidence or through somehow having access to in-house developments at WB despite being a lowly print-ad monkey) and WB paid him for it despite already developing the idea themselves and owning the franchise. Either way WB would be paying an outside source for something they already paid to develop themselves,  it makes no sense.

If you're going to pull our collective leg at least pull it in a reasonable direction.
