Ok so it has been a long long time since I've been to a gig. How early did people start lining up at the front at the gigs you went to?

I got there at 8 am, saw there were no people, went away, and came back at noon.
you can still get there at around 3-4  pm and youd be able to catch the front row.

I show up between noon and 2PM for GN'R if I don't have seats. I only had seats to a show of theirs once. What was I thinking? But yeah, I always get the bar. It's worth it, to me at least. If I don't manage the bar I'd rather just pack up and go home. I don't pay that much and show up 10-12 hours before a show and take the day off so I can get jerked around by a bunch of fatheaded, sweaty fuckers and not  be able to move my arms or sing along.

When I went to Hammerstein last year, there were people online around 2:30, I got on around 3:30 and was probably one of the first 50 people in the building.

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I've never had a problem getting to the front....If I don't know/like the openers I wait till they're done before I go in and I never have any problem. Standing in line for hours sucks.

In Glasgow I got there after Bullet for my Valentine, had a pint in the bar and still made it to the front by the time Guns took to the stage! You've just got to be a sneaky little fucker and sly your way through the crowd!

I agree. I saw several shows last year and skipped the openers and made my way to what was probably about the first or second row during Guns.
