Recovering AOL Passwords?

I'm having a bit of a problem right now.

I got a new computer, and installed AOL, but now I can't sign on using the new computer because I don't have the password. My old computer has no problem because the password is saved, so I don't have to type it in when I sign on.

So, given the fact that I can sign on with my old computer, shouldn't there be a way that I can view my current password?

Can I change my password without knowing what the current one is?

Are you talking about your AOL password?  You should be able to contact AOL and they could re-set it for you.  Or login to IE on your OLD cpu and go to aol.com and there should be some sort of option where they can send you a new temporary password if you forgot it.

I guess I'll have to contact AOL tomorrow by phone then, cause theres no options on aol.com

You sure about that?  When I go to aol.com and click on mail to sign in it brings me to the sign in screen and underneath passord in blue it says, forgot password?  If you click on that it leads you to the promised land of recovering said password or creating a new one.

i think this is correct, i know it was back in the day when you had to PAY for aol.  not sure about now.  back then you just had to verify you were you with your credit card.

anyways, just call customer service.  easy.

Use your old computer to logon to AOL and change your password.
