This is a really cool band!
Do you think that this band has had alot of influence on Axls vokals?
Just listen to the song Black Licorice

I also found out that, Grand Funk Railroad have the original of the song We`re an American band, which GNR played live, and that the last part
of Sail away sweet sister, is from a Grand Funk Railroad song..

cool!

isn't it a very old band? I only know 'an american band' and 'locomotion' by them. both songs are good.

It is a very old band. I can remember when I was in the 5th grade our teacher would let us bring in records to play on lunch hour "Locomotion" was one of our faves, we would all do the dance "The Bump" lol, I think that was in about oh 1975. smoking

Yeah, they're from the early to mid 70's, but were pretty good/pretty cool.   I can't say I hear any resemblance to Axl's voice, however, but Axl could very well have been influenced, in part, by Mark Farner - who knows?    Besides We're An American Band, Locomotion, and Bad Time (To Be in Love), another big song they had was Some Kind of Wonderful.

Indeed, Joss Stone covered Some Kind of Wonderful in her first album. Its on GTA San Andreas soundtrack, with Axl introducing them in the K-DST radio.

Its a pretty cool band, I really love Bad Times (and not just because Axl used to sang it).

cute.  Cheesy

I like the out of tune sounding kickoff of the song.
