« on: October 01, 2006, 03:55:47 AM »

I went to future shop today. I was looking at cd's to buy and then I realized that all these albums I was looking at sucked. They had 1 or 2 good songs and the thought of paying $12 for 2 songs that I would be sick of in a month made me realize that i'd be better off downloading them off morpheus for free. So I decided i'd expand my horizons. I ended up walking into the iPod section and asking them how good the new bose portable iPod speakers sounded. So the guy played me some Gnarls Barkley song off the future shop iPod. So I happened to have my iPod on me and I asked the guy if he would mind if I hooked my iPod up to it. So I proceeded to fucking crank the shit out of "better" for the whole song, say thank you, and then complain that $400 was too much for the Bose speakers, and walk out of the store. I must admit I felt like a prophet walking out of the store. Do any of you guys  have a similar story? Hopefulluy this is a coherent story as I'm drunk as Ricky from "The Trailer Parks Boys".

Hey atleast he's out there promoting Gn'R.  And yes most of the music out there today is 1-2 maybe 3 songs that are good on an album and alot of filler.

I usually like to go to computer stores and change the homepage on all the floor models to a GNR website - or whatever website I may be promoting at the time. It's funny, me and a buddy went to a huge computer store in Los Angeles and we changed the default homepage on about 75 machines to this page befroe we walked out:

People were scratching their heads looking at that photo.

..are there any *good* new albums out? i just download the new Scissor Sisters album Ta-Dah. It's ok, and while having 2 good tracks lacks the classic tracks that their 1st album featured.

didnt you feel like a douche for asking to hear how the speakers worked after he already let you hear them, then hook up YOUR ipod, play a 7 minute song that im sure he didnt care about hearing, waste the guy's time, and then just leave, so a couple people walking by could hear the song?  sweet story.  i was of COURSE joking.  worst thread ever.
