However, for me...it does cause headaches.  Always has...since it was released.  Hell, since before there was any published material that even correlated headaches to Nutrasweet........we quickly made the connection in my household.
Just like Olean causes some people to have....hmmm...GI issues.....

Now, I've seen independant studies that say they've seen the same sorts of symptoms and a study that says they don't.  I also know that, with sacchrin, it took quite awhile for them to come to a consenus on it's effects.  However, the one thing I know with absolute certainty is that, when I drink or eat something with nutrasweet, 20 min later I have a headache.  I have no problem chalking that up to a peculiarity in my body chemistry.

I'm not saying it's "bad" for everyone, but I, for one, certainly have some sort of almost allergic reaction to it.

Yeah, I was wondering maybe some people don't have the proper enzyme to digest it, or something like that.  Like people with PKU - that's just really severe.  I don't know if anyone has ever done a study to compare people who react to it to people who don't.  But it would be interesting.

Thanks.? But I decided that was too much work.? I think I'll wait for the full moon instead.

Actually, there's one thing (you can ask your ob, actually) that is better at inducing labor than anything else.

Sex.? And Sex with lots of nipple stimulation.

Seriously.

On the wives tale note, though, some women swear by castor oil....but I've heard that process can be both uncomfortable and somewhat dangerous, depending on where you are in the pregnancy.

With our first, my wife was 10 days overdue and considered using castor oil....and quickly decided against it. Smiley

Yeah, I've heard of both of those.  But they actually warn you against the nipple stimulation thing, because it causes such strong contractions they can hurt the baby.  And I heard castor oil just makes you feel like crap, and doesn't even work.

I'm just getting impatient because I think I'm going to have a 10 pound baby and I'm not having an epidural.  I'm going with hypnosis instead, so I can report to you all if that works or not.  But we are going way off topic.

Very true - my oldest was born 4 weeks early!? Tongue

Good luck, Sterling!? I never had any meds during my deliveries - it's really not THAT bad. Wink? The best thing is that you are perfectly fine and able to walk to the shower 1 min after the delivery when you do it naturally.? ok

PS - I didn't realize I was in the pepsi/coke thread.  Tongue  Beverly SUCKS!  hihi  < there, wanted to stay on topic!  Grin
