About the thing about Guns holding a concert i Norway,

a friend told me last week that he had seen on a norwegian tv-program called "Absolutt Underholdning"
that Guns is to play in Bergen.

I guess we'll see if there's anything to it.

Yeah I know it. I just want to see Gn'R I've never seen them. Who here has?

I have...a whole bunch. ?Old Gnr (4 times, 3 as Headliners, 1 opening for Aerosmith) and New Gnr (1 on the '02 tour in Hartford).

The Foxboro, MA show (Faith No More, Metallica, GnR) back in '92 was the single best concert (and I've been to quite a few, back in the younger days) I've ever seen. All 3 bands were good, Metallica and Guns at the top of their game and height of their popularity.

Edit: Stupid me...forgot the New Haven show...which, if you knew my particulars, you would find very funny.

I've seen GNR 5 times as well.? 4 times with the old lineup and once in Boston in December 2002 with current lineup including Buckethead.? I was at the Foxboro GNR/Metallica/FNM concert and it was by far the worst of the 5 GNR performances I saw.? The massive food fight between acts was fun, but Axl was pissed off at something and did a portion of the concert sitting down at the drum stand with no emotion whatsoever.? He was in a bad mood for whatever reason.? I feel bad for you Pilferk if that was the best GNR concert you ever say.

I also saw them back to back nights in Worcester, MA (very first two concerts after UYIs were released) and Soundgarden opened for them.? Those concerts were so much better than the stadium show in Foxboro.? I'd also say the Boston show with current lineup was better than the stadium show.? I just think Axl was going through the motions in Foxboro.? Metallica was far better that night (even though I don't like them anywhere near as much as GNR).? Definately not Axl's best performance.

CC

Really?? I don't remember the drum stand stuff at all.? I remember him running back and forth, back and forth, back and forth on that HUGE stage.? I do remember him getting pissed off at the VERY end of the show, when he threw roses into the crowd and some asshole grabbed one from out of a girl's hand (he was in his boxing attire at the time).? Lead to him cutting off the 3rd encore.

It's funny, because everyone I was with (2 of them who were with me at the OTHER 3 shows) all agree they thought the Foxboro concert was the best show they'd been to.? Still do, when we talk about it....Weird how opinions can differ.  What's also weird is the review on mygnrtour.com remembers things more my way: http://www.gnrontour.com/sets1992/19920911review.html.  Hell, even Axl thought it was a good show!  To each their own, I guess.

Now, I'll agree, it was not the best GnR show I've been to.? That would be the Hartford show in '93.? But that's cause I was partial to the acoustic set they did.

Hmm.. i dont know if that is valid, im sorry, i guess we would se it in the norwegian media then..
But Norway has become a very popular country for for artists to play, so there is a chance we would see
GNR play bouth in Begen and Oslo. Who knows.. Sabbath played 2 shows in Norway last year...

All signs point to a May/June release. I think we are all in good shape for single within weeks.

I saw them in Portland, ME and I would say it was a very good show, but not as good as the ones in Worcester, MA.? Also, the Boston show with the current lineup was incredible.

I think alot may have to do with outside things like your particular mood those nights, seat locations, songs played, etc.? As for what that website says, well you call definately tell it was written by someone who has never seen another GNR show so he has nothing to compare it to.? All I remember is Axl sitting down for 3 songs and going through the motions for a portion of the show.? I have never seen him do that at any other show.? Definately disappointed in their performance considering I saw the 1st two shows after UYIs dropped and the energy there both in the stands and by the band was absolutely amazing.? Beyond anything imaginable.

I'd still rather see GNR not at their best than anyone else at their best.? ?Wink

Awsome fucking show man. This band kicked my ass that night. Before them I had only seen Pantera and everyone know how they kicked ass.
I think Axl sounded better than ever before to tell the truth.

Just out curiosity, with all these dates getting posted...why don't they update the website?  Hell if they need someone to do it..I'll do it hihi

But for real anyone care to take a guess as to why they don't update the site with dates to finally update it with?
