I still think he should drop the whole ear piece thing too, he didn't need it before and it just seems to screw him up now, so get rid of it.

It's his monitor - that's how he hears himself sing over a crowd.

He used a monitor back in the old days as well.

I would be very dissapointed if Axl did anything like that. Even if he used vocal enhancers I would be upset. In the old days Axl didn't need anything like that and he was amazing. If he is unable to put on a show without having enhancers, then I think it's time for him to stop performing live. I still think he should drop the whole ear piece thing too, he didn't need it before and it just seems to screw him up now, so get rid of it.
You obviously don't know what are you talkin' about. Read Mean Bone's post first.
Of course Axl used at least a little reverb in the old days. It's not like those effects were made after the Illusions tour... Also, the ear piece was made to make Axl's performance easier. If he don't like it, it's another thing. But it sure helps a lot of people and it don't leak any sound to other stage's mics.

Yeah, I agree. He always used that kind of stuff, but we just notice it more now cause we're older and more jaded. hihi

I might catch hell for suggesting it, but I thought we was lip-syncing at the 2002 VMA's.  He was horrible during Jungle and then came back to deliver a studio-esque Madagascar.  Almost exactly like the one at RIR.  I realize there is a delay, but if you watch "The Blues" from RIR, you'll see Axl's voice seems to come out so perfect as he is yelling at a stage crew member.  Even with the delay, it came out perfect over the mic.  I'm sure his mic is on, but he might have 'enhancements' in the background (ala Ashley Simpson).  Just seems unrealistic that he would screw up WTTJ so badly, then deliver a perfect Madagascar.  I could be wrong about it, but its good to see I'm not the only one who senses this.

Psychologically, you could consider this a reunion tour because I`ve managed to find enough pieces of my mind in order to be with you here tonight - - Axl Rose, Chicago 2002
