yeah, it's a big deal. i took off from work today to spend the day with my wife and daughter. everywhere we've gone today, people have been dressed up in costumes....stores, resteraunts, people working at the zoo, children AT the zoo. it's pretty cool. then tonight we'll do the trick or treating thing, and make a stop at the in-laws.

i love this holiday and love this time of year.  ok

Happy birthday Mr. Journey!

Well not one kid at my door tonight. Probably just as well. All children do these days is open their bag and expect sweets. In my day it took a joke to get something

I love it too, but I have to say, political correctness is ruining it.  My daughter was not allowed to wear a costume to school today.  They can't even call it Halloween, they have to call it a "Harvest Party".   When I was a kid it was so much fun to dress up, and have the halloween parade at school.  Now they can't do it for fear of offending someone.  Its stupid, in my opinion.

Haloween just isnt the same... on my way home from work all the lights were off and there were hardly any kids out and it was 6pm! when i was a kid i went out till like 9pm and everyone had their lights on and gave out candy! its all about the haloween parties where the girls dress as skanks... and well its just not the same for the kids anymore and that makes me upset!

I want to know what happened to the porch light rule!  Last year I saw so many kids going up to houses without the porch light on.  And after my little girl went to bed, I turned ours off, but kids kept coming up and ringing the bell.  Do kids not know the porch light rule anymore?

I guess not. We had a lot of trick-or-treaters banging on our door after the light was off.

I did for Halloween what I do everyday, got up took a shower, went to the YMCA and worked out for 2 hours, came home watched some TV, got the internet and got something to eat.

Halloween is Gay these days

where is the originality?

where is the pride in the costume?

If I ever have kids, they are gonna dress up as something sweet for Halloween, My kid will not look lame out there trick or treating.

Hey...well, I live in a small town, so trick or treating is still a big thing.  And costumes are great.  When my son was growing up, I loved going out, and dressing up myself.  I loved making his costumes.  He started out cute and then went to scary & gruesome as he got older.  He always had a great costume.  I love Halloween.  My favorite holiday!  However, I had to work this evening.  I work in a care facility with a lot of dementia people.  I wore a pair of bunny ears, and this one old woman almost came out of her wheelchair, swinging at me.  Guess she didn't like the ears.  I took them off.......

Remember when kids actually had to say Trick or Treat? And a thank you after yo gave them the candy? At tleast thats the way it was when I was a kid. And grabbing a fistful of candy out of the bowl is not nice either.
