Blender magazine has a small mention in the new issue about Mr. Brownstone and My Michelle-2 songs that are about heroin-My Michelle is about an actual person-she talked about it in the infamous Spin magazine issue with Axl on the front-correct?

That's what I thought at first too - but then I reread the Blender item.? It says "two songs which name-check heroin."? I'm not exactly sure what name-check means, but My Michelle does mention heroin, and that might be what they mean.

They got mixed up ?because of the line about heronine in the song.

"Name check" basically means to mention. So the line She used ta love her heroin/But now she's underground is the ?"name check" they refer to.

The Blender article referred to here is a drug timeline in rock n roll. Just be glad GNR was mentioned. Blender is one of the only magazines that always tries to keep the GNR name floating around in pop culture.
