I don't know if this was mentioned. It was i apologize. But Nikki Sixx wrote in a chapter how he was having a party in his room and Izzy was rolled up in a ball and the chics came to Nikki and asked if he knew who Axl was and NIkki was like yeah he is in a band called Guns N Roses. I know the Guitarist or something. Then they said if Axl could come in. BECAUSE AXL WAS TOO SHY TO KNOCK ON THE DOOR. WTF? Is Nikki lying? How can Axl Rose be nervous to enter a party. Nikki said no since he only invites chics or whatever.

P.S. I was talking to a subsitute teacher at my H.S. Who said he did security at the meadlowlands for a GNR show in 93 and he swore to god that a Fan throw a boomerang directly at his nuts. Dont know if this is true. i was like wow that is nuts. Dont believe it though.

July 29th, 1992 - Midway through the show at Giant Stadium in Rutherford, New Jersey Axl encounters severe pain in his throat but continues to (almost) finish the show.
During the last song, "Knockin' On Heaven's Door", he is hit in the genitals by a cigarette lighter thrown from the crowd with considerable force. Axl retires backstage to regain his breath, so Duff has to take over on vocals.

Yup. It's true. I was there. Everyone was pissed at Axl. They didn't realize that he got hit in the nuts and just figured that he was "wussing out" yet again. From my vantage point it did look like he got hit with something (like a starburst candy), but I had no idea it scored a direct hit on the family jewels.

Duff and the boys did do a good job finishing off Knockin' on Heaven's Door. No encore though as Axl was "out of comission".

$50.00 says it was a Metallica fan.

This book came out a couple of years ago. I have it and it's a very good read. I recommend it.

This story comes from before GNR became big. Firstly The Crue were big on the scene at that time so that would make people nervous around them and second and most important - Axl was shy. Izzy has mentioned this in interviews.

Can we stop asking for people to be banned and threads locked just because you don't like them.  If you don't want to read about motley crue then don't click on the thread.  This forum seems to have way too many nazi wannabees.  When you're a moderator then you're opinion on banning people may count for something, as it is now you just don't matter.
