Good point.

Would make sense since it's in Vegas, but on the other hand maybe he doesn't wanna be the guy announcing it if the Hard Rock are the ones making the announcement.

I think that is correct.

But, perhaps this was set up thinking the announcement would have already happened, as appears to have been the original plan.
