it happens that i am starting to date a new girl. and she is a famous model - she is plastered all over the Parisian metro, as she is the Egerie/model for the biggest Departement Store in france, and does many of L'oreal cosmetics ads ... -

what is the problem you would say?

well i went out with here once. she is cool - older for a model (23) so she is not a stupid 60 pounds wanabee from Ukraine (sorry for ukranian ).
But i have *learned* from co-workers that she is high maintenance and all.

i am not poor, i have a good job. but if the girl is used to go out with richer people, and getting payed 1,000 euros for an hour photoshoot, i feel kinda wierd, me, 24, taking here places or stuff like that ...

what would you do ? have sex and go ? go out to the places you would normally go ? try to live *above* your money (?) ? ....

wierd issue, i know. but i was thinking that, like, for example if you meet a famous actress and you're poor and all, how awckward would that be ....

Seriously tho, I've dated some models and with the first there was a an ex-bodybuilder-bf who was extremely jealous of her so it was a I needed to watch my back kinda thing. But it was fun, maybe 'cos of the exitment, and the girl was fun, but eventually we agreed there's too much distance between us and she was almost every weekend at some model shoot and fuckin hell if I'm going to visit her more than she's visiting me.

The other one was just a snob full of herself so it was just sex.

I hope at least that you've had a test drive of her now. Don't eeven think about the money stuff before you nailed her, then if she's worth it also mentally think about that and if money becomes and issue.. well I'm sure you'll find cheaper whores.

I'll agree with SLC with the down to earth. I've dated girls I think are prettier than these models, and it's hell-of-a-lot more nicer to date a girl that looks fine and isn't a model, just my preference.

However I wouldn't say no to a model either.

I have found that it is best to just be honest up front. Do not go into debt or make life hard on yourself in the future for a girl.

If she is the right one, u won't have to do all that. If she dumps u cause u arent rich and can't take her places, then to me that just says she wasn't the right woman for u.


Maybe she has the money and she just wants someone she can be herself around and have a good time with, She probably already knows u arent rich *unless u lied* of course. So if she knows your job etc etc and she still wants to be with u, I say her feelings could be genuine and in that case, there is no need to live beyond your means.

I didnt lie to her, she knows me, I have a pretty good job (in some ways i am her "boss", as she modeled for some of our products ...), it's more about the fact that i would think that she is used to date richer people, and is used, through her job to travel europe and all ... she's from australia/netherlands.

Personally, I find most (not all) models to lack intelligence or a curiousity to know more about the world. Mostly they like to talk fashion, latest bands, and gossip which can occassionally be fun. Also, they never went to veer out of their comfort zone for fear of looking like a total ass - that really sucks because you never do anything new or interesting nor do they ever let their hair down or get nutty.
