You're fucking crazy!

« on: June 07, 2006, 12:52:47 AM »

I was looking up the Use Your Illusion Tour on Wikipedia and it mentioned that the band was planning to release a video full of live footage and some riot footage and explanation. The video was to be called "The Perfect Crime".

Anyone know about it? I'm sure the reasons for it falling through are obvious, but anyone able to shed some light on this one?

The plan was to record all of the Illusion tour (like they did) and then in about 1995 release a Guns N Roses movie called "The Perfect Crime". It was going to have interviews in from all the band members about the tour and the events that happened  during it, and it was going to have a shit load of footage from the tour between 1991-1993.

You can hear Axl and Slash talk about it during their last radio interview together from 1994, they say they were just waiting for someone to go through all the footage from the tour.

They really need to release an official DVD of the old band.. That would be so sick to have a long ass DVD of select live performances in great quality.. Like a Live Era DVD.....

Well, I think it's already been discussed but GNR should release a set like Metallica's Live Shit: Binge and Purge collection.  Three shows, two on DVD, one show from AFD tour and two shows from the UYI tour.  For an early days show, I would pick Felt Forum 88 (assuming it was filmed/recorded professionally at all) and for the UYI tour, I would pick 8/3/91 since it was their longest show and the setlist was just so damn great along with Milton Keynes 93 since Izzy was with the band for those shows.  Basically, I want an official release of live material from 87-93 when IZZY WAS STILL IN THE BAND!!!!  Gilby was a great replacement but Izzy was the real deal and the original rhythm guitarist.  If someone needed to start a petition to get such material released, I would create it.

They should defently release it. Just think that all the concerts that we're searching ,exist there  pro shot  :drool

it'd be kick ass to see some footage from them

but with the situation between axl and slash and duff its pretty hard

maybe when the reunion happens....hopefuly
