I'm a llama!

« on: July 16, 2006, 09:21:20 PM »

I just got done reading another topic here and I still dont know where everyone gets this idea that axl has been making this record for 12-15 years? people keep saying the press is going to say (15 years for this? Blah Blah Blah.) and they probably will. But why? Does anyone really think axl has been sitting in his studio for 15 years working on 1 album? Rememeber after the vma performance he said " this has never been done before, starting over with all new guys yada, yada, yada" It is not fair to him for this question to be asked. He knows why, and it could be lots of things, maybe he just did not like the spot light anymore, who knows, and now he is ready. What do people think is going to happen when the album drops? Some people think a music revolution is coming, GET REAL,  I expect a quality album by Rose and company (aka the new gnr). This band was huge fellow fans, he just did not lose a guitar player, he lost the whole band, A BIG, POPULAR band, and you dont just bring in new people next month and go on. Sure, they could have gave us something, but who were "they"? hopefully these new guys are "they" and they are ready, because the gnr name holds great meaning, and commands respect, so they better carry it on well! Axl knows this, and maybe now he feels he has the right people again.

Many make it seem like he has worked so hard for 15 years 24/7. I think he didn't work on the band for 2-3 years after the 2002 tour ended. And at many junctures throughout this drama.

i think the smartest thing he said at that interveiw was

kurt "is chinese democracy going to come out, will we see it soon?"

axl "you'll see it, i dont know if soon is the word, but you'll see it"

i think axl has spent 13 years workin on enough material for 3 albums. i doubt axl is going to want to go into hiding after releasing every album, so these next 2 or 3 may come out within 6 years or so if we are REALLY lucky  drool
