Ok so if only Get in the ring, Shotgun blues, My World, Don't damn me, and most of the spagetti incident where not played live, then when was Breakdown played? I have spent a considerable time looking in gnrontour.com but I can't find the date when they played Breakdown.

December 13, 1991, in New York City.? I have the bootleg for that show, it also includes "Locomotive".

"Breakdown" was also played a week before that as well.

It must have been amazing. I have always thought that the early Illusions tour is better than the last part.

Breakdown is a GREAT fucking song. ONe of Axl's lyrical masterpieces. A live rendition would be cool to hear.

By the way what's all that about "there goes the challenger, being chased by blue meanies on wheels.... " Where did Axl got that? I mean I can read the booklet, but I don't recognize that material.

Well, im just bringing this thread back because ive been listenin to breakdown alot recently and wanted to see if there were any threads about the song....

anyway, if you look up breakdown on http://www.gnrinfo.tk/ , it says it was played at Worcester, MA, December 6, 1991.

and in light of the newly leaked songs, i kinda feel like the lyrics from the new songs lean more in the direction of breakdown....kinda about being in a relationship, but not having it anymore.....if you were to compare the new song lyrics to some old songs

It's a quote from the movie Vanishing Point.

A classic car chase/road movie.  ok

So, is there any tread left on the tires? Or at this point would it be like throwing a hot dog down a hallway?

can you say why?  its your opinion, i'd just like to hear why....

i like it because i think the lyrics are great.  I must say im not a big fan of the chorus or even the movie quote...although i'd like to see the movie and that might change my mind about the quote.
