The cd has been out since June, so I am sure Axl would of sued back then to stop it, I think he has a legal right to sue, because its ok to use a album's title for your own as long as someone wont confuse it with the original, since that album looks so much like a GnR album I think Axl has some ground

The album cover/name is clearly a parody as such Axl has no right to sue.

Hee hee! The little fella's lighting his fart on fire... Maybe the blue flame could be the backdrop colour for Use Your Illusion IV?   hihi

They probably can't do sh*t.
The artwork isn't owned by Axl, is it?
Like Appetite for Destruction, GnR took the name Use Your Illusion from this very
painting. My memory might fail me, but if this is true, then...I don't think they
can do anything if the original artist sold them the license to use it.
Regardless, who cares. nobody knows who the hell this band is anyway.

I think parodies should be free game.
But, that said, didn't Eminem actually stop Weird Al's parody video of him?

I go to the outdorr-fleamarket-type swap meets here in jersey, in englishtown. Going thru a cd bin once I saw a group whose album was called "use your appetite for speghetti. I looked at it, nothign guns related. Thought I'd mention it tho.

buying a painting doesn't mean you own the copyright. He could have bought the copyright but I highly doubt it.
Either way it doesn't matter legally speaking Axl/whoever owns the rights to the painting can not do shit about it because it is a parody

cant they get sued for using that cover

No, they can't. GNR don't hold the copyright to that image. It's an excerpt from a painting by a famous painter. I forgot which one. And they don't hold the copyright to the font either so that's also something they can't sue about. And the style is coprighted by the design company who designed the artwork for GNR. So in the end they don't have anything to sue about....
