Title: A Beer and a Cigarette
Post by: kyrie on September 16, 2014, 06:07:49 PM
Somehow I had no idea that Guns ever recorded a cover of "A Beer and a Cigarette" - did this ever leak? It was apparently done during the TSI? sessions.

And yeah I know, no asking for leaks, however this is a) old and b) I just want to know if it ever saw the light of day anywhere, not looking for a link.

As far as I remember, the rumor was that they were considering recording a version, but it never happened.

 Thanks.

It's interesting. I did some googling (this all started at Wikipedia who say they did record it but anyone can edit that) and some websites say they did and some say they wanted to.
I suppose the rumor could easily have gone from "wanted to" to "did" pretty easily.

Would have been cool though.

I'm pretty sure someone said they planned to, but that someone in the band thougt Andy McCoy was a jerk, and then they didn't. Is it mentioned in the book "Sheriffi McCoy" too maybe? Long time since I read it....

That would have been pretty cool. I think it would have fit fine on the album track list. This is the first I ever heard of this rumor.
