Bastards of Young NOTES: Let It Be is one of my favorite albums, so getting a chance to finally see the Replacements (at my favorite festival no less) is a dream come true, and they definitely didn't disappoint. I just love their attiude up on stage of "hey we're just up here to play live, have a good time, and who gives a fuck about production or how it sounds, etc". It's pretty refreshing these days. I think this recording came out pretty well considering it's outdoor at a stage that is notorious for having sound problems. I can't wait to see them again during weekend 2! Also, Track 12 is Love You Till Friday/Maybelline.
Recommended boot though, a bit on the softer side as far as sound quality goes - but nothing an equalizer can't brighten up. I rate it a B+, but that's just because it's a bit soft for my personal liking. If it wasn't for that it'd be an A. I've already jammed this twice tonight, solid show. Looking forward to this coming weekends set! |
